Hey guys need some help. So I recently upgraded to a bigger tent and light setup for my autos. The problem I’m having is there in late flower and when I lower the humidity my vpd go sky high like above 2.0 whenever I get the humidity below 55 ish. And the temp is climbing up to 87 degrees. Im running a spider farmer se4500 in a 2x4 tent I have two oscillating fans and a inline fan. I only have the light on 80% cause of temps. Any help with what I can do to help situation would be appreciated
What’s your light cycle?
What’s a your normal humidifier % ?
You are trying to lower your humidity too much for that high of temperature.
It also looks like your fans are blowing right on the plants better to swoosh around the space.
Shoot for the yellow zone in late flower. and yes in late flower with big tight buds it is better to hang out near 2.0 VPD
I’m running my light 24 hrs. So I was trying to get temp down and vpd so I opened the vents up and I fan on top opening blowing in but it hasn’t improved they are at the end I just did my first ph watering no nutes. I started this grow in a 2x2 with only a 100 w led but outgrew it so I moved them into new tent with new light and I’m just trying to get the environment correct. I don’t really want to spend $500 on a AC for the tent. Any help is greatly appreciated
Are you getting fresh air in and exhausting used air outdoors? Air should be pulled in from the bottom of the tent and vented outdoors from the top.
It is a constant battle for me to keep my environment in balance. It is a good thing the plants are durable.
I hear ya on the AC I used to run my tent only Oct thru April because of the heat. I finally broke down and picked up a terraform 8.
manOgreen is right about the VPd, venting and circulation.
You can consider cutting the light back to 20hrs and run it at the coolest hours of the day. Btw I’ve run my temp up higher as much as 86f but also ran co2.
I think that may be one of my problems is I am not exhausting my air outdoors in which I plan to do this weekend and it’s a small room. Also I have a fairly cheap exhaust fan it claims its 195 cfm but I don’t believe it is
Air circulation is a common problem. It will not solve all of the environmental issues but it is an important part of the machine.
