Welcome and thanks for a stopping by to check this out. This journal will be for any new growers who are looking at their plant thinking “Does my plant look right for day 23?”. Or “Is this normal?” Or anything like that. I will make a daily post with pictures from Day 1 to harvest. The strain is Bruce Bananas by Night Owl. The seed was placed inside a pre moistened Root Riot cube and stuck inside a water sprayed humidity dome on Saturday, 6/27/26. The seed germinated and popped on Tuesday, 6/30/26. It was then placed in 5gal of organic soil( half Fox Farm Happy Frog and half Mother Earth 50/50 Peat/Coco with 30% perlite added) amended with BAS Craft Blend and Great White mycos/beneficials in a fabric pot. It will be growing in my 3x3 tent with some other strains. There will be about 300w-400w max of LED light. Here goes, Day 1
Day 4… Second set of true leaves! By today she was drying out a bit so gave her 2.5 cups of water. Should hold her off for a couple few days.

I’m going to be doing eight plants, four different strains side-by-side
I was originally going to do four hydroponically and four in an organic soil, but now that I found a good deal on some auto pots. I’m going to do four of them hydroponically and four of them in auto pots with coco I think.
I’m doing six different strains in my 3x3. I have another journal for the whole tent, but just picked out one strain to do this with. I really think autopots are awesome. Trying to save and get some soon.
It will be my first time using them, and I had never even heard of them until I found AFN a few months back.
I definitely seen people having killer results so I’m excited for it

I watched a couple of his videos!
I didn’t find anything that was super informative from him though, not like a straight walk-through.
But I think I’ve got enough of an understanding where I’m going to be all right.
I did note that he uses 100% coco pith with no Perlite or soil, so that is what inspired me to go that route rather than soil in the auto pot.

He has a few informative videos, but you have to search thru a bunch of other videos. I like his videos best to check out strains and their potential. Not so much how to grow.

Just two different systems!
Like I said, originally I was gonna go to the organic soil route.
But I have another vacation planned in August where I’m going to be away for eight days and I didn’t wanna have to find someone to hand water the whole time.
That’s why we went with auto pots!
Love it! We left for 7 days and I had my daughter stop by once mid week to add two buckets that I pre mixed, sooo convenient! Although someone was going to have to come by anyways for pics/face time to show me my plants and put my mind at ease
