Day 36…
Girls got another haircut!
Add some perelite to it, add extra granular mychorhazae to it, then fill up your container, mix up some organic rev, kelp it real, king krustacian, growganica microbe tea, and soak the shit out of the containers 2-3 days before germinating seeds, once germinating seeds turn the lights on and bring the soil up to temps, soon as they are sprouted dust a hole with more mychorhazae and put the cube in it. Don’t be scared to water either give it 3-4 cups 6" from them stem when you move the cube, then 5-7 days later give it 1/2 gallon from the edges in toward your 6in mark from before, 4-6 days later give it another 1/2-3/4 gallon, 4-6 more days soak the shit out of it again. pH to 6.5-7. Everytime you mix water put the kelp it real in there, king k, and grow gabica microbe tea, every other week put organic rev in there. If you have coconut water powder presoak with it and give every water for the first month or so. Around day 21-25 put them on self wicking bases and keep them full. Once a week let the plants suck them dry, wait a day or so and then top water.
This a first time grower im currently walking through their first grow ever, exact same process as a above except started with Bioflower and didn’t add any perelite or coconut water powder. Tomorrow it’s probably going to get it’s first dose of organics alive 0-10-8 and grow ganicas incredible bulk as well as kelp it real, king k, organic rev, and microbe tea. Might start giving it calmag as well that will be in bottle form though and only when the plants start asking for it which will be either this week or next week in those 7 gallon containers.
These are 31 days in these screen shots.
It was 26 days here
I was trying a shortcut and got what I deserved. I should know better, but I still tried it anyway. If I go full living soil I will take your advice and go full on. I have quite a bit of fox farm soil liquid trio to use up before I invest and switch up whole operation. This is my last round on day 29 with my regular regimen of liquid organics. Big difference!
Don’t feel bad, we short cutted our start this cycle because the down time resetting and replumbing and constructing everything took way longer than anticipated so just yolo’d it and have 3 not so great plants because of it. I mean they are still going to be really good by any normal standard, but they will be well below our average and that kind of makes me sad. I can not blame the genetics though it was a risk I was aware of going into it, and going to see them little 3/4-1.5lb plants all the way through to harvest. Next run though we going back to our normal start, and never ever for any reason ever doing another start without doing an organic rev/water dunk/soak and squeeze with our cubes before putting seeds in them. We had a consistent across all 8 plants 3-4 days longer for the roots to get down in the water. We also didn’t dome them the first week either like we normally do also never not doing that again lol about the only thing we did normal this start was add granular mychorhazae on top of the hydroton where we move the cube to. (Never out that stuff in your water, if you’re going to use it in hydro a small amount goes on the hydroton where it won’t ever get down into the solution and only at the very start when you move the starter cubes, it’s literally only there to help get the roots in the water faster)
That’s kinda where im at, I tried doing some things differently. Didn’t work, never again. Lol. At this point I will just do what I know works.
