Hey guys, I can either start a new Live Stoner Chat today; or we can create a new topic this weekend, but enough people have complained about the same issue that it’s pretty clearly time to create a new topic for this.
If you didn’t catch my mention yesterday; a 7000+ reply topic is considered a “mega thread” by Discourse standards, and some of the loading issues are caused by scrolling so many posts at once (and the site trying to load the content as it does.) Much of the site is “lazy loaded,” which is a pretty standard/common feature for forums, where content isn’t loaded until it’s within actual page view. When these topics get so long, it’s loading all those fresh replies (the best it can) while other users are doing the same (since this is a very active topic.)
Anyway, that’s the technical explanation (and what everything I’ve researched has eluded to.)
So just like the old forum; we’ll want to archive this topic at regular intervals. Probably even MORE so than we did on the old site (maybe even once a month.)
Oh but I would love to be able to grow outside! Especially being halfway decent at it now, I’d really like to have an outdoor photo that’s as tall as my house!
I wouldn’t care if it was good or produced well. I want a cannabis tree in my yard!
I’m going to sit on the settee in just me drawers…I’m going to go to the toilet without having to shut the bathroom door…smoke as much dope as I can possibly smoke to get my levels back up…...and I’m not wearing a bra for a whole Week..
Whelp, it’s super painful to swallow and smoking hurts my throat (I mean, I’m still going to smoke, but still. lol.)
Kids are here. My daughter has a double fracture on her forearm, she’s got an appoint with the radiologist to go over everything this afternoon and they might cast it still.
Otherwise just hanging out this weekend. Was going to take the kids bowling pre-arm fracture, but now we’re going to probably just eat lots of home made food and watch scary movies.
Making some philly cheesesteak sandwiches tonight.
I’m going to start a topic on here to act as collective compendium of lab-submitted and home-tested potency results for autoflowers. We had a thread like this on the old site (that petered out, because it required some attention that wasn’t given,) but here we are. Petering in. At full attention.
I think it was about 5 or 6 years ago. I did a “johnny appleseed” thing and started randomly planting seeds around town just to see what would happen. A few of them got pretty big before someone who knows what to look for spotted them. Some of them were actually dug up, and I wondered if someone dug it up to take it home….
Now that it is legal, you can grow outdoors, but it cannot be visible from the street, AND has to have some indication as to who they belong to. There is no part of the property I am on where I can completely hide anything from a street view. That and it is really difficult for me to get around these days, so I am afraid they would not be tended to as well as they should.
I might this evening if I have time finish the cad drawings for a new PCB, might out it off till morning we will see, can’t do anything with it till Sunday night anyway so really not in any rush lol
I used to love growing outside, I don’t have the patience for it now days, and I’m not in the best climate either. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had to pull early outside or loose 1/2 or more of harvest due to late season humidity problems. I much prefer being indoors, don’t have to fuck around with washing the plants indoors either.
I do all the design work and specs for everything I touch and release or work on for someone if it’s a custom fixture. I obviously work with a PCB fab, and then partner with an ODM to do the diode placements onto the boards, pick and place machines that can put 450-500+ diodes on a 1130mm x 36mm board are crazy expensive. Then I source the diodes and bins myself directly from the diode manufactures, as well as the drivers. I design it, spec it, a lot of times have to hand solder the prototypes so there is a reference before running down the line and setting it up for whatever the spec is. I don’t do all the work myself as far as production goes, but the design work, and spec work, and all the important logistics and sourcing is 100% me.
