Thanks, in my cart. Oh its Prime days, my 10 year old laptop is about done…hunting for a deal.
Puerto Ricans from first run. I soaked the substrate in water overnight about 8 hours, drained and placed bag back in the tub. I noticed that the mycelium has grown back over and with some luck we’ll get some more shrooms!
Avery’s Albino’s just blew up the past 3-4 days from pins to harvest. I filled the bag full of water to sit overnight, drain and then try for some more.
Super happy with my first go at it! All in one bags from @Satsangamyco on X.
nice looking blue bruising on those Bro. They should be good!
Puerto Rican second flush. After first harvest I filled bag with water for 12 hours and drained well. The mycelium recolonized the top within a couple days and these popped up within a week.
We ate some on the 4th at a wedding reception. The best private fireworks show I’ve ever seen and these made it so much better! ![]()
Nice work dude! Yeah second and third flushes can still pop out good harvests.
Puerto Ricans second flush
Way bigger then the first flush, less total but much bigger! 23 grams dried so 1g less the the first flush ![]()
Soaked the block for another 12 hours.

Wow man, you’ve either got tiny hands or that’s some big assed mushrooms you have there!
(I’m guessing it’s the latter
)
Nice work Pepe, keep them coming!
LOL they are the biggest I’ve ever seen! I need to find the time to read through your thread and learn a thing or two. So far this has been fun!
Avery’s Albino’s just pushed up a couple pins on the second flush of it.
2nd flush of the Avery’s alibino’s
I tried a small amount 1/2 gram maybe and I think these are stronger than the first flush.
Took some with me on a camping trip to the UP, had a great time in the Hiawatha and Seney national forests. I was hoping for some UFO’s to report but to no avail. ![]()
3rd flush of Puerto Rican’s
Lots less than the 2nd but one big monster!
I soaked the block again, we’ll see if I can get a fourth.
Used to love them, then got violently sick on them, so enthusiasm petered out a bit.
Morels have toxins in them, if you eat too many within something like four days or so, the normal way the toxin gets processed by your body gets overloaded and the toxin gets shunted into an alternative chemical sequence. One step of the plan B processing makes for violent nausea. The dearest actually got just as sick as I did without eating any of them, she just breathed the fumes from a drier full.
So, my gro peep buds, be careful with dose on morels, and don’t dry quantities of them indoors without careful ventilation to get most of the fumes out of the house. ![]()
Everyone’s tolerance varies, but if you ever detect a slight bit of tummy mischief starting, stop eating them for at least a week. I ignored the initial sensation, and I paid.
Good to know, I’ve never ate more than a few at a time with a nice steak.
Thanks for stopping by!
Most peeps would have to eat significant numbers to have a problem, although a few can’t eat them at all, it seems that either they do not have the enzymes to use pathway A, or it’s capacity is remarkably tiny. In any case, you are obviously not at risk with your current levels of consumption.
I ran into trouble after enjoying significant meals of them for several days in a row (our season is short, and I did love them). On about day 4 or 5, I noticed the tiniest hint of nausea in the evening, totally ignorable, so I ignored it. Then I porked down a morel omelet for breakfast the following morning. An hour or so later the action began.
I was sick for about three hours or so, with visits to the porcelain receiver about every twenty minutes or so. The puking and dry heaving was hard enough to cause dramatically bloodshot eyes, technically known as peticia (they result from blowups in blood pressure). Trust me, ya do not want to go there.
The bizarre thing is that during the whole experience, I didn’t feel bad at all, I kept working on my report the whole time when I was affected, other than trips to the toilet.
As the saying goes, dose is everything. Particularly with morels.
Indeed Pepe! nice mushies and some colourful veggies on the side.
What are the 2 yellow things on the left?
