It’s an overall occurring problem, bro - not even personal. One might think a crow wouldn’t pick another crow’s eye - but we see this all over the entire cannabis community… call it jealousy or envy or whatever - and it gets worse as soon there’s a big business and moneymaking involved…

What you say is good but you also should take constructive criticism in to consideration. Sometimes, as much as we hate to admit it, we’re wrong in our beliefs and need to be able to reexamine them, compare data and be able to see what we need to change. I see it here still, say the word “science” and people get defensive about their anecdotal" evidence" instead of saying to themselves, hmm, maybe I should consider this. AFN is great in that good discussion is common here and rarely is criticism derogatory. That’s why this is such a great comminity!

100% agree. Rather than an assault it is a desire to learn and understand.
I’d just add one thing. It doesn’t hurt to say outright that “these are objective and subjective observations”
If someone tries to say “you don’t have lab data” it then changes meaning to “I can’t read” and they lose their own argument and you lose the desire to be defensive.
That said, I see nothing wrong with the discussions lately. Members have shared all kinds of information and opinions which opens minds and ignights possibilities. All good IMO

I’m strongly aware of , that we are only so educated , if we realize how ignorant we are - and to know and become aware of that, we have to question everything in the first place.
My point in the above post you referred to isn’t ignoring constructive critisism at all. It’s the absolute opposite - but in real life obviously, …
- if money is involved, there’s a good chance one company is trying to sell you something, they profit from, not you. Manipulation for profit only. f.ex. for sure you need nutrients. but do you NEED all those bottles just because the company tells you??
- On a even bigger level, the political, entire laws changed on how much a big pharma, industry and lobbyist player “donates” to the one making the decission, purely based on money and false statistics - not based on scientific evidences, but on corruption and false information. If that wouldn’t be handled like that, we wouldn’t have to fight for our beloved plant or the right for medicine at all.
- Then there’s “folklore” - knowledge aka bro-science, which the beginner and average grower might stick to as THE only correct way, ignoring the other possible causes while insisting they are the only one right, because f.ex. the outdated book/guide or a random youtuber said so, which makes it an ultimate truth to them… and if in consequence results are not coming in as expected - for example they get a low yield only always, instead of figuring out, why the successful guy is doing it differently and gets the desired result. They don’t “grow” personally, so they also don’t want others to “grow” and have success.
- Luckily we have lots of guys here, like autoflower420 or gasplease (just to name 2 we all know here as possitive example), who share their wisdom openly and for free to everyone (while being always open to suggestions and other possibilities of doing things) - which is also rare type of person, because oftentimes the real secret source is not for free, but hidden behind a kind of paywall of a greedy person (which is saying “pay me, otherwise I don’t care about your success”).
In essence, ignoring other possibilities and realities is self-sabotaging the own potential, nothing else. That’s not how you grow as a person - and also in our case here as a grower, yet you probably will agree that my first sentence in this post 263 should not only relate to growing weed, it’s a general principle. Remember, once people thought the earth was flat and the earth made by a god (which one solely depends again where and when in the world you are born in) 4000 years ago… - scientific evidence proofed it wrong and the first guys making the claim got into serious trouble for even mentioning the idea or possibility…

…lol, nice try @pop22. If that would be the case, the travel to the edge of the world would be marketed at high ticket prices … still nobody doing it - so maybe that’s a get rich quick formula YOU should go for

Interesting for sure! Still a bit skeptical to have the flower ready within 5 days, give or take, but to be fair I never did it exactly on those levels for 5 days. It’s kinda similar to the general settings of the Cannatrol though, and it seems to work as well. Most of the times I keep them a bit longer in there on hold though or run even a second cycle. Especially with big/compact flowers, but that’s exactly what Sharkmouse also explained himself.
I will try to setup something similar in the future and take notes.. might be worth checking, thanks for sharing the article mate!

Life sometimes has other plans than the schedule in calendars…
my Mobile fall apart, and I went back to the Iphone7 laying around - damn, what a change. Not even the simplest stuff like accessing email accounts, youtube, some websites nor the forum work due to the OS version 15.8 been the last available and supported update . The spiderfarmer app does work, taking pictures also and someone can call me, but that’s it. Sounds aweful in 2026 - it isn’t. Actually it’s pretty cool to have no distractions at all. So forum for me right now only works from PC.
Growtent and room are closed until the summertemps get into acceptable regions, yet let’s reveal the strains for upcoming mystery DP seed grow - PMK (you know that one already as it has been seen here), A26 & GPC. Feel free to make guesses - I really don’t know more than you yet but I’m more than excited to find out by growing those and/or getting additional information by “insiders” like Antonio. .
I tried the new VIVI packs (Boveda’s new 10day cure-no burb product) on the buds of Pheno4 and it actually worked better than expected. By today the pack get switched to the standard 58% and 62% packs. the Cannatrol - that’s out of my budget, honestly.
