don’t be a silly goose!

Check in on my two week update!
Ps.
Anyone with AutoPot experience please tell me roughly at what point you turned them on
I understand it is once the roots have developed, but I am looking for an estimated timeframe.

Day 17 update is live
Such a busy morning, I almost forgot, but I’m working my ass off to keep this a true day by day for y’all
Hopefully, it’ll be of service to someone at some point!

Oh man, I just had a revelation!
In about a week and a half I’m going up to Maine to stay at my camp for eight days…
So that means the only way I will be able to keep the day by day journal going is from screenshots from a grow cam ![]()

Still going to do it, but don’t expect any quality shots

Jeez. My wife told me that electric is $60 per month more since running the A/C.
It will be set even lower for the drying period so maybe another 15 bucks…
I had to promise her I won’t grow all September.
Maybe those newfangled tent a/c are worth it, if it can push the exhaust through 20’ of ducting to the window.

Day 18 was a big one! Be sure to click back to the top of this and use a table of contents to stay up-to-date!
As long as the 20’ is in a straight line you will be good, good rule of thumb for exhaust is every 90* turn reduces airflow by 25%, if you have lots of turns just add in another inline booster to cove r the grunt of the work.
I just went through that this morning!
Lowered on the AC (because I increased the light intensity to 80%) and it just was not cooling as well as it should have (or as well as I know it is capable of.)
Realize that I had put an extra 90° bend in the tube this grow.
Fixed the bend and BOOM temp dropped like a rock
What I don’t know is how powerful the exhaust fan is on those AC Infinity tent A/C units. Could it blast the ducted hot air across the room to the window?
If not, a 20$ inline booster fan can. I tried looking for specs on the exhaust output but it doesn’t show any.
It will be fine, the exhaust doesn’t have to be high flow, once the warm exhaust air is in the exhaust duct moving away from your tent you will be fine. Doesn’t matter how hard it’s pumping, it will be strong enough. Also just try to limit any angles in the duct work and you will be even better!
not only that, but most of the air is recirculated anyway
That is part of what makes the system so efficient
Don’t forget the baking soda . It’s what slows it down a bit and makes it last longer.
Day 19 is live!
Very interesting. Do you have any recent pictures?
Using the table of contents style for this journal, the entire grow will be documented in the first post of the journal, and then all of my discussion with you beautiful people will be underneath it!
So if at any point, you want to check up on it, you just click the little button on the bottom with the “Up” arrow.
That will bring you back to the top of the post.
Then you can click the three little lines
And from there that will open the table of contents for you to select whatever it is you want to look at!
We are on day 20, but I have not updated today.
If you want to see how the whole grow has been just click to the top, and EVERYTHING is in the first post.
This is how @Hobbes has requested journals for the Cultivators Club are done!
@Man-O-Green i know it’s different that what most of us are use to…
but as far as keeping an entire grow documented and making it easy to check on any particular part of that grow, it is FAR superior to just posting in the forum and then people having to go search for information.
That being said, I’ll post today’s update in the comments as well as in the main thread!
Day 20 from seed
I see now! I don’t understand why all of those pictures did not show up yesterday or why I would have missed them as I thought I looked at your whole thread? anyhow it is interesting to see!
