Hey ShuShu!

100% germ rate? Nice work! Strong viable seeds. What are you chasing down with this run?

Hey Entombed!

The focus here is to hopefully find a male and female autoflower to breed together. I bred this to create a pure afghani autoflower. Terps are my main goal with good structure and fungus resistance as well.

The real journey begins with the F2’s.

I also have plans to pollinate

Katsu Seeds - Hoosier Daddy (Indiana Bubblegum x Sour Diesel)

Day 22

Finally showing signs of sex. The front three are my female. The middle three are my males. The back four are my unknowns. Fingers crossed I get a “super” autoflower from one of the back four. Smells are very much Cherry/Fruity throughout. Hopefully smell translates to smoke

Hey @Entombed

I’m using Sunshine Advanced Mix #4 for the medium

I add Down To Earth 4-4-4 and Alaskan Fish Fertilizer 5-1-1 prior to planting. I probably add around 3-4 tablespoons of DTE and 1 tablespoon of AFF. The Bacteria from the fish keeps things in check. I find it cheaper than buying worm castings. Just fed them today with more Alaskan Fish Fertilizer

The well water I use is above 8.5 pH

I guess you can say I’ve “conditioned them” to grow in alkaline. I’ve created my seeds/crosses in alkaline. Usually the first and second generation of the cross i have trouble finding those without lockouts/deficiencies. Eventually I do find the ones that are healthiest to continue working the cross

Right now my photoperiods are not so happy with the pH. Hopefully I can get some seeds from the Hoosier Daddy to continue working

You’ve really got them bred out to the point they like high pH? That is wild dude. Wow.

Narrowed my female selection down to one plant. The smell is just like it’s counter part. cherry bubblegum candy on the nose. Good structure on both as well.

I was lucky enough to have both the female and male be resilient against deficiency. I am using well water at 8.5 pH

Pollination begins tomorrow

Lookin nice dude. I would be very interested if you did a grow comparison with those seeds. One with your high pH water and one where you adjust it back to “normal” ranges.

Unless you’ve already done that and they are alkaline baddies now.

Will it be fully auto by the next round?

Hey @Entombed

I wish I could do a comparison for you. The problem is my well water doesn’t budge. I swear no matter how much pH down I use The pH remains the same

I did just start filtering my well water about a couple months ago. pH still remains the same. However the plants don’t respond the same compared to the unfiltered.

Hey @KingRatt

I actually have three CR plants hanging out by the window. All of which are flowering. Maybe the one’s I used in the project are possibly Auto

Just have to wait and see
