Doing exactly the same here.. plants that would normally need tied up..will be hung down instead..the wind just wrecks trellis…cafeen…so go way of least resistance…

Did your peas germinate…?…I forked out for some local ones from the farm shop..hoping they are hardy for local conditions.

Owner says they could plant as late as April…and I just got them in yesterday..pre-rain…so they’ll have had a good watering in.

I did note they have red powder on…not sure if that is to show them up in the soil…or a mold retardent…but.. I’ll give it a go….17702890891032437017288507097939..

I decided to tear apart the soil from the Blue Dog…. Wanted to inspect the root zone, see how much of the box it used….. plus, I needed some soil in the garden, so decided to recycle this into the garden and buy more canna soil.

There was a good mat of roots in the entire box, and into the reservoir. I also wanted to see if the corners held together, or got washed out…. Which the did hold together, and were locked together with a mat of roots…. The tube was held in place by roots as well.

I do think I could have run a few more runs with this soil….and will attempt that in the future.

Who knew, among his other talents, the duder is a gardener. Give the mutt a treat!

He always hangs out in the garden with me….he likes to munch on leaves while I’m working in the canna garden. He always waits patiently until given one, he never takes. :smokeout:

Almost forgot….

She’s less than happy, but she’s trying…. I might just get some seeds and do a bed in a better spot….

All good here @Mossy. Just getting ready for a road trip down to the Seattle area. Visiting sister in law, bit of hiking and biking, likely checking in with other friends. Today’s project is getting the bikes ready (studded tires off mine, check that the dearest’s is ready for prime time), and start to get my other travel junk sorted. We will be on the road for about a month.

Winter has finally backed off here, so at least we can get the trailer out of the driveway, it is uphill, and 10 days ago would not have been possible due to ice. All good now, just wet. We leave on Wednesday, likely in light snow, but it will not last on the highway, so no biggie. I will be glad to be done with the white stuff until next round.

Nothing like a nice nasturtium bed. I browse on the flowers, much to the mild annoyance of the flower gardener. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Like our mutt and Saskatoon berries (native bush up here with edible fruit). She loves the berries, but prefers us to pick them for her. Gotta wonder what goes on in those doggie brains at times. I would pay good money to be a dog for a few days if I could remember how it went. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

They know more than they get credit for.

I’ll argue that they may very well be the smartest creature on the planet….

I mean…..

They’ve completely enslaved humans (the actual smartest, most innovative) via our compassion.
