Res temp isnt as important in recirculating rockwool. Lower temps in the res are related to dissolved oxygen in the water. More important in dwc because the roots are in the res. With rockwool when the solution hits the rockwool capillary action pulls it through the cube and spreads it out. As that is happening oxygen is pulled into the cube from the vacuum created by the action. Add an airstone to the res and youre golden. I wouldnt want to be over 75f tho. You can also get a res chiller if you really wanted to manage res temps.
Even with the hybrid system my res temps would hit 74 and be 72-73f regularly. The combination of the solution returning to the res, airstone, and the way rw works provides more than enough oxygen.
Good morfnoevight all you happy caffeinated stoners.
The antibiotics have just kicked my ass. I went down hard yesterday. Thank goodness today is the last day. It may take weeks to get my guts back on track.
