The 2026 Outdoor Auto-Photo Competiton!

summer-solstice-sun-face

ladies

It’s that time again!

This is season 10 (wow!) of this little side show Comp, so let’s get started mates :sun: All the thrills chills and spills of OD growing await…

Same gig as usual, this is a more relaxed Comp, open to anybody, any genetics they wish, any grow method…

Breeder and product showcasing is also welcome!

It’s always filled with fab’ plants and buddage, so if you can’t join in then swing by often for regular rounds of eye-humping some fine ladiez!

Here are some of the basic rules:

-- **30th Oct Final finish date, give or take…

-- Any genetics fly here, Auto or Photo… Any start date, just be aware of the finish date**

– Entry Code must be included with the germ’/early seedling pics, and harvest pics, with this info please: [ 2026 OD auto/photo Comp; (name); (cultivar); start date ]

– updates should be 3/month minimum. Guerilla growers are an exception, specifics on that are TBD case by case,…

– You can select up to 3 plants each for auto’s and photo’s for the duration of the Comp’, in case they get eaten, ripped, destroyed, etc., BUT–>

– You must name your Final entry plant 2 weeks before harvest (photo’s), or 1 week before (autos), or the official Finish date at the latest…

– It is acceptable for outdoor plants to be started indoor, as long as the vast majority of the plant’s life is outdoor.

In the past we did polls to determine winners, last couple seasons that seemed kinda pointless for a few reasons… So this, and prizes are all TBD later… let’s see how things shake out and go from there! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Any questions or concerns, just ask!

Cheers and good grow and pheno’ luck to all!

I’m in. :jointman_1_: Photo’s are already started in solo’s, I may grow a few auto’s in the garden if Willow lets me. :rolleyes_1_: She said no 5 fingered plants in the veggie garden this year. :blahblah:

We’ll see…

Thats a sweet picture!

Request for all the guerilla exceptions, please!

Plants are already seedlings, so please send the Entry Code ASAP!

I’m in! I have 4 photos and 2 autos I plan to move outside in about 2-3 weeks if the weather is nice enough.

Do you want separate threads?

cool2 Right on y’all, welcome to the fun!

Maria, so glad you can do this, really! :face_blowing_a_kiss: I/we know your particular challenges, so you do what’s best and safe luv :white_check_mark:

Entry code is as you see above in the [brackets]…

Cheers Darren, welcome to the Comp! No separate threads, all-in-one right here (unless, like Live Stoners, the thread becomes buggy due to sheer size, then I’ll just open a part 2 thread or whatever)…

A caveat with your current auto’s: as per the rules, plants need to have been grow outside for most all their life. 2 weeks starter time is about the max, 3 weeks is nearly a third of that so not exactly the “majority” of their life… it’s a real challenge to get good auto’s OD’s in most instances; cool nights and far fewer light hours are runt-makers! Right now, if you did this, it’s what would happen so best wait until later…

That said, nothing to stop you from entering more later, there’s no start date limitations, just a final closing date plants should be done by, and that’s got wiggle room in most cases…

I was gonna tag a couple others but I know a few changed names and few aren’t here yet.

@greenhornet - not here
@growtogrow - unsure
@themongol - unsure
@danknuggets - dunno either

@trailanimal - get in here bro! I don’t know if it’s warm enough for outdoor growing yet.

Trail’s in for sure, but he’s a ways out yet so I didn’t pester him… :grin:

GTG bailed out 3+ years ago, ain’t coming back either most likely… Mongol is hardly around, and his OD gig is always uncertain (corn field guerilla)…

Dank, MIA…

I normally take one raised bed a year and grow out 10-12 plants of my latest auto. We’ll see how it all shakes out, I’ll definately be sneaking some in somewhere. :slight_smile:

hump hot damn you do! I’m hoping to talk you into growing out the Tangie auto x OHz soon, ID or OD :pleading_face: LOL!

Last year you did find a pretty happy medium with the OD plants… I think getting out of the ground and into pots may be the next step? Waiting later to plug into the ground may still have them switching over to bloom on the late side vs. a potted girl… that root squeeze is a Thing for sure, you see how fast my small pot girls finish…

Some of my growmies over the years used storage tubs as cheaper pot-alternatives. Big volume plastic nursery pots get fekkin’ spendy real fast! Equivalent volume tubs are much less so, and the plant don’t give a particular damn about the container shape.
It’d be a hoot to see you run a dozen or so 40-50gal tub queens! :grin: …only hitch would be what to do about soil…:thinking:

4 x DNA Cannalope Haze fem
4 x ACE Orient Express fem
1 x ACE Malawi x NL auto fem
1 x RQS Amnesia Haze auto fem
6 x HarvestReaper - Haze x Lime Madness

I clip the points of their leaves to disguise them a little as seedlings without hurting them

The oldest 2 Cannalope Haze

The oldest 2 Orient Express (one badly bitten!)

**
Oldest Haze x Lime Madness (pointy!)
**

Oldest 2 Cannalope and 1 Orient Express planted out at the Hillside Site
Older bitten Orient Express will wait a bit to recover
Their roots all look basically like this (this one is a Cannalope)
Potting mix + some local sieved leaf mulch + rice husk + organic pellet + a touch of dolomite lime

A Cannalope Haze

B Orient Express

C Cannalope Haze

The “mulch” is cut down reeds and long grasses
This area gets cut / mowed about once a year
Lots of long grasses and reeds, that kind of thing
As these little ones grow, they’ll git in among the tall grasses
It’s good cover for them
And means I have some nice mulch for them right now

I will probably put the two autos in this area too

Many of the others will go to Forest Site garden
Especially the Haze x Lime Madness, all looking very sativa at this young age

Love & hugs

None of those pictures posted in the last poster showing up for me. They are just different colorized plain blocks. Even when clicked upon

…like some funky wallpaper shots!

Great line-up Maria :star_struck: I actually grew a Cannalope Hz a long while back,…very nice smoke, though nothing “melon-like” about it, mostly Haze shades really…

OE is an old classic of theirs, a near perfect fit for you there! …been a long time since I saw MNLauto grown… Makes me wonder if I still have a bean or two of Zamadelica!

What’s the scoop on HR? Lime Madness, hmmm… A Mullumbimby cross I think?
