First guided grow

That granite haze can turn into a an absolute monster, some of the biggest plants I’ve seen!

Thing to remember about neem oil is to use it at dark or when the lights are off. Also don’t want to use it over 80 degrees or it can burn. Neem oil, most oils, will magnify the light on the leaves and burn the hell out of them. Also only use it to until flowering. Check out lost coast plant therapy. Real good stuff and you can use it every day up through harvest if you want to

Thanks for the info I will check that stuff out for sure

DAY 24:

I have increase the light to 60% making PAR 575 which is in the amount of CO2 ( 550 -750 PPM ) range. Ec is in the 850 -900 range Ph 5.2-6.0 at the reservoir. After turning on the reservoir on day 19 I saw explosive growth for a couple days but that stopped. I assume it’s because the training has begun. I had only put 2 gallons in the reservoir on day 19. I’m not sure how much they should be drinking, but seems as if they are not drinking enough, but I will let them ride for now. I trimmed a total of 4 leaves the rest were tuckable

They look very nice! Don’t worry about how much they’re drinking bro, they know what they’re doing haha. As long as feed is flowing from res to pot there’s nothing to worry about. Also 5.2 ph is a tad low, I’d suggest 5.6 as a minimum and don’t forget the air pump is only on when your lights are on. Happy growing!

Fair enough I was using the 5.2 cause that’s what I thought that was what autopots suggested, I will bring it up. And yeah after you reminded me about the air dome I have it set with the light timer.

Thanks for all your help

Forgot I mentioned it before my bad, but the plants look great man! Going to be fun to watch, the diy net intrigues me, looking forward to seeing you navigate it.

4 weeks:

Everything is cruising along. I have been able to LST them pretty flat. They still haven’t reached the SCROG netting. I’ve been instructed to keep training till Pom poms show themselves. I have bumped the light up by 5% every 3 days this week. Now it’s up to 70%. I’ve increased the PPM into the 1100-1200 range which gives me a EC of 2.4 VPD at 1.4 yesterday I defoliated the old school mango haze a good amount cause it was so bushy and plenty of wet spots on leaves. No sign of any mold. Clipped a couple leaves off the Apollo haze .Oh and they went into pre-flower two days ago. They seem happy

Week 5

Everything thing is moving along nicely. Apollo Haze got some nutrient burn with the 1400 PPM I have lowered the PPM to 1000-1200 range. Cleaned up the lower sections , and still training till the Pom poms appear

The old school mango Haze is a very bushy plant. It grows fast at least the leaves do. It curled up but tips look fine

Two days away from week 6

So my guide in this grow @Entombed had told me to keep training till pompoms were showing. Thing is I’m running out of room to train them to the sides. Stretch started last night. I don’t have pompoms. The canopy is relatively even. I figure the stretch will allow some of the shorter buds site’s catch up :man_shrugging: if I need to I will super crop the taller ones.

I haven’t been able to get ahold of Emtombed via PM’s I figure maybe he is on vacation or something ( I hope all is well ), so I’m hoping someone could nudge me in the right direction with what I should do

Thanks in advance

Hey grobro! Yeah had home internet issues for like a month! Bleh.

Plants look good dude. I think there is some tip burn developing on the Mango Haze. I would back the feed strength down. Usually 10% is the recommended step. I tend not to run more than 800-ish ppm, which I know is high and some guys get away at like 500 with killer plants. But yeah, I’d back off a hair.

@Entombed will do. Thanks for the follow up. I’ve got 6 weeks left , and everything seems to be cruising along . Got some PK13/14 coming today. I hope to see some fattening of the pistols

I do find it odd the the old school mango haze isn’t stretching like the Apollo haze, but these two girls are completely different animals

Week 7 :

I had things with the canopy pretty level, but that’s gone now. Main reason is I ran out of room the horizontal training . Kind of bummed about that. Oh well live and learn .

Old school mango Haze isn’t keeping up with the growth of the Apollo Haze. OSMH isn’t getting tip burn , but the AH is. I was running the PPM much higher. But @Entombed suggested bringing it down to 800’s so I’m doing that.

The light is at 85% power

PPM is at 800-850 & added the PK 13/14 to the mix

VPD IS 1.4-1.6

I mean, you only have so much room in the tent! Your training looks good though. Should be a nice crop. Lots of room for those colas to develop.
