That was 1 of the things I thought you could be talking about lol.
Anytime I see a cool little friend I could print I grab the file. I don’t know how to make anything… yet. Just my grommet ring, but it’s simple not much of a creation. It is not easy to make stuff, but I can print the hell out of something haha. Do you know what kind of print he has? If he has a Bambu Lab then he could print that guy. I print most stuff off their site Maker World. Although any STL file will work. I have a Towlie as well, but he fell off and broke his leg. I need to glue it back on because that print took 21+ hrs and don’t want to print it again.
I find that “thingiverse” has a lot stuff that can be downloaded, dropped on “tinkercad” and made to fit, or just use as a starting point and play around until you get some thing that works for your needs. Tinkercad is childsplay… literally. ![]()
I’ll have to check that out. I have only played with Fusion 360, and that is only a small sample.
Orange Warp day 27
Back with another update hope you’re lifted like me! I have done a little bit of training. I topped her Sunday night, and put some lst clips on. Also tied her down some.
She is looking a little ugly currently, but it will pay off. Temps have gotten a little low at night so she hasn’t exploded, but Im hopeful with temperatures outside rising she will. Light is at 50%, I turned it up 10% today. It has gotten down to 57°F at night so not optimal to say the least.
Ska Skunk day 21
She has not faired as well as the Orange Warp. Like I said temps have been low which have not helped an already slow lady. I haven’t been able to train her yet, although today I gave a minor supercrop. I didn’t break much, or bend her just a little pop. I know technically I shouldn’t have since she is slow, but time waits for no one… even autos. I’ll see how she responds if poorly then time to stop, or wait. I push them hard usually so that’s what I do until they say other wise.
Once she soaks up the water I will connect the autopots. I gave them some Recharge and silica a few days ago. I wanted to give them 1 more round before I turned them on. I gave another drink to check soil runoff pH which both were good. The OW was lower which may be why she has the nitrogen toxicity. The Ska was a little high which may also contribute to the slower growth. It’s interesting to me because they both got the same everything. Why the pH is different is odd to me. Once the autopots are up, and been going I will check again. I think that is about it so until next time… stay lifted!
Hey, back with an update. I hope everyone is feeling lifted! The autopots have been running for a few days now. I added the AC Infinity Co2 + light sensor. Not using it with the AI just to be able to see Co2 levels. I did some training on the Orange Warp, I haven’t been able to do any on the Ska Skunk tho. Both are have issues the Ska worse of the 2. Orange Warp has a nitrogen toxicity which I’m not sure how to fix with organics premixed into the pro mix. It would be easier if I was topdressing, but unsure best way to go. The Ska Skunk I have no idea what her issue is???

The pH is good, vpd is fine I have no idea why she is struggling. Any thoughts would love to hear them.
Day 34 Orange Wrap
She is starting to flower, I figure about another week or so till transitioning to full flower. I will give her a bloom booster at that point.
Day 28 Ska Skunk
I don’t have much info on either, so not sure if or how sensitive they are. Maybe Ska doesn’t do well in constantly wet soil like living soil. I usually turn off rez like every 10’ish days let them dry slightly. This is when I hand water the bloom booster, or Recharge, silica. I may have to take her off the autopot system and hand water her. I will see over the next few days how she does. I would prefer if one did better than the other, the Ska would be that one. I use more during the day than night, so need more of that than the Orange Warp. I think that is about it for now so until next time… stay lifted!
Dude how can I get some of those?? I don’t have a 3d printer!!! Does anybody sell them? I don’t like the tent spreaders that have the bar going horizontally across the frame, they limit access big time. Those look like they work more like the hangars. I just break the hangars whenever I move the tent around.
First set I bought was on Etsy they took forever to get here cause they came from Canada but other then that everything was fine still using them too

I thought maybe it looked like a root problem but it also could be too much nutrients. I’d do what your doing take her off the autopot and hand water water only for awhile see how they progress. I imagine orange warp might need the same treatment definitely no nutes
thank you Homie!
You can always look on Etsy, or similar marketplace. Not sure if it’s true, but I heard Etsy is not 3D printing friendly as much anymore. There are a lot of sellers that don’t consider it a kraft, or even appreciate it. Many don’t want 3D printers to be allowed to sell there anymore. That’s Bullshit! Designing anything takes skill… trust me. I’ve been trying to learn, and it’s difficult!!! Much respect to designers it’s art meets science, and it’s awesome. You can always pay someone to do it. I can find some printers. You could probably send them the link and should get exactly what you want. I would recommend getting one you can get a quality one for like $300-$400. Not outrageous very useful not to mention fun.
They usually only get water. I stopped with the Recharge because it’s got nitrogen in it. I mixed 3/4 cup in with soil. It said 1/4-1 cup. I was going to do a mini flush, but I saw that is bad in organics so I didn’t. Normally I can figure out what I did wrong, everything seems to be where it should. No obvious reason. The nitrogen toxicity is weird because if I was gonna get that I would have expected to happen to the Ska.
I didn’t know about etsy sellers being threatened by 3D printer sellers. It sounds like bull shit, I know it takes skill to design anything on computer. Sounds like they are just scared of emerging technology stealing their customers. Which is absolutely ridiculous,as there will always be a market for quality handmade goods and wares. Sounds like a bunch of babies lol. Crying out of fear. There is so much on etsy that isn’t handmade, and also not 3D printed. An abundance of mass manufactured goods, but now they are complaining? Doesn’t feel like a valid argument at all. People sell fossils made by nature, vintage goods, all the way to mass manufactured modern electronics. I guess I just don’t see the validity of said argument. I know it started as a platform to sell handmade goods and such, but it hasn’t been just that for a long time. It reminds of that episode of South Park “their takin’ our jobs!” lol.
I’d take them off the auto watering and let them dry back a bit. They could be getting drowned. I don’t have any experience with that system but they do looked a little over watered to me as well. Good luck and I hope you get it sorted!
Yeah, they seem threatened lol. The ones that are upset say how long it take them to produce each thing by hand. That the printer does all the work. Not all on Etsy feel this way I’m sure. Not sure why they are tho, most the their products are different. Humans being humans I guess. You can still buy 3D things off Etsy, but your selection may be limited or not exactly what you want. If you find a file you want you can have it printed so you get the specific item. Here is a link to a well known company PCBWAY. You can add the file you would like.
Never done this since I have a printer, but they also do CNC. If they ask I would suggest having it printed in PETG. That’s what I print almost everything in. It’s UV resistant also good heat resistance. Stronger than PLA too. Any questions just ask.
Stay lifted
I haven’t had this issue with autopot before. I think the Ska may not like “wet feet” as Chad Westport says. That is the only thing that makes sense. The Orange Wrap may be sensitive to nutrients, or specifically nitrogen. I would not have thought that with her being a hybrid, but could be. Maybe the Ska just wasn’t a strong seed. I don’t think that is it because something looks wrong with her. She has roots popping out the bottom like crazy so the roots developed.
Sorry I’m just now jumping on this thread! I would definitely recommend damp soil but never wet unless you use the air domes. Ska generally feeds heavier than the orange. I run auto pots with living soil but don’t turn them on for the first month.
Ok, I don’t have the air domes so that could be the issue. She is drying out some and looking better.
it might be worth adding a few inches of gravel to the bottom like our grandmas did back in the day…
That’s a good idea lol. I did that with my wife’s outdoor flower pots before. I’m assuming Hydroton would work the same, I have a ton of it. I use to use it on top like mulch. I stopped doing that because I hand watered, and wasn’t sure if it would/was affecting my pH.
