People have tried and I even asked 420 himself. He said something about it being in hydro plus all the stress from the defoliation was the only way to stress it out to keep it in veg long enough for the process to be worth it. In soil when it gets stressed like that it will often flower early and yield less than if you never messed with it. The only plants I have ever seen come close the 420Autoflower method in soil has been in autopots or tray2grows. Also seen some coco monsters but that’s hydro too. I’ve also seen some random mutants that seem to go crazy and turn into monsters out of nowher, but that’s genetics being weird. Haven’t seen anybody pull it off in soil. Seen many auto scrogs, but nothing like the real method.

However, photoperiods can do amazing when you adapt the method to soil. Timing is less of an issue, but your yields will be about the same time frame(110+ days). With half the electricity in flower! I have seen some amazing photoperiod scrogs in soil.

1 auto in a pot yielding 1lb of A grade buds?
Are there limits on the pot?
Timeframe?
What are the goals/challenge here?

Any grow methods welcome. The only stipulations is that it’s in soil. Autoflower. Over a pound. Within the breeders suggested timeframe for harvest. Keep it simple

For me it’s a matter of speed, and space restraints. If I could keep mother’s to take clones from, I would have a faster start. And might consider it again. But starting from seed, vegging and all that, before a 8-10 week flower period doesn’t work for my current needs. With autoflowers I’m harvesting ±2lbs at 8-9 wks from sprout, with photos I’m harvesting about every 14-16 wks from sprout, subtract a couple wks from clone. I was growing both for a while, I just don’t have the time or space or gear to do it all right now.

Day 40
Watered and fed them another early flower recipe. About 10.5 cups each, very little runoff. Buds are stacking and getting frosty! Honeymoon Passion is one of the fastest strains I’ve grown to date!

Plants were watered again yesterday and I started adding in some P and K from Bud Explosion from Mega Crop. I’ve been using this Red/UV/IR light from Phlizon and it’s been keeping my plants super stocky and really under control while growing six plants at a time in such close quarters. Maybe a little too stocky for my tastes. Next grow I will remove that light for veg and early stretch, and turn it on when things need keeping in check. I have noticed improved resin and terp production since using it so I don’t want to remove it all together. Maybe just limit the plants exposure to those spectrums until it’s ready for them.

Leaves are starting to fade abit, I turned off the red/UV/IR light to see if I can coax a lil more stretch out of these girls. They are all super dense and putting some serious weight on. Figure they use any extra air flow at this point.
