Yup, we/contestants talked about this before… In most some cases yes, others no… In a nice, sizeable nearly/fully controlled unit, not so much… Last guy who had a GH, it was a tiny thing with minimal environmental control, so that was OK by us. His fail was bad air exchange, rotted his plants of course… He tried RotBlock but didn’t apply it properly (despite being well instructed), still didn’t fix the shitshow RH% and was told plainly it’s not a damn panacea against botrytis-
– it’s preventative, it really helps but it’s not a forcefield, FFS! He got shirty and butthurt about it all, diss’ed RotBlock anyway and then wanked off for good…
… fekkin’ puke, good riddance!..didn’t ever like that clown anyway…
They have one too now? Last I saw, their site was discarded, and were reabsorbed by DP… Seeds at DP’s site only now…
Gotta say, for all the legend about them, the stuff we tested here was hit&miss at best…
I will be trying to get in on this, I will have more word in a couple weeks but the timing seems perfect and our weather has been priming some awesome outdoors this year. I will have to choose the guerilla option as it’s the only way I can OD where I am. It will either be autos or earlies I just want to see what I have that is the most resistant!!! Good weather means more bugs!!! being guerilla I won’t be able to give it the same amount of care either so I have to be smart! I’m think the TTMendo earlies from last year’s promo might be the best choice but I will have to see and look into them more. This is one my favorite events at AFN and I’m gonna try my hardest to be a part of it this yr!!! Good luck to all the growers!! I can’t wait to see what this yrs competition brings.. there’s already some serious competition in the line up!!
Man I want to join in so bad. I have some prime spots but I would get busted so quick.
Awesome pond across the street that drains into a lower pond that drains into a slow trickling creek. Primo soil, sun, and water. So close and absolutely off limits.
I also have some photo Zamaldelica regs, but will start those only after summer solstice.
Haze x Lime Madness from HarvestReaper over at .
Haze from MadMac’s recent work, the Lime Madness is Mullumbimby Madness x Black Lime Reserve, the Black Lime Reserve is a cross of NL, Purple Kush and ChemDawg.
Makes the whole cross maybe 75%+ sati plus the indicas from the Black Lime Reserve.
But these seedlings are all showing strong thin NLD signs already.
I’ve played with the Mullumbimby before, with the crosses with Neville’s Haze, from the last couple of years.
Ah! …I thought so… The other forum I’m at is where Lime Madness was made, along with a bunch of other BLR crosses. MadMac was still around then, and some breeder mates swapped seeds to play with. One private breeder is always on the look out for some solid Sativa influence to cross with, Mullem’ is actually a more or less local heirloom for him…
Mac’s OHz’s often express strongly from what I’ve seen, so those lean fingers are a sign of that despite the apparent %'s…
Zamadelica is something I dearly wish I could run here! Alas, just too long of a cycle…
Malawi is another I want to try, a bit faster and do-able if I got the right pheno (10week bloomer)…but you know my pheno luck
The Zam’ x KaliChina is on the want list for sure! Several grows of that I know of had fab’ reports on the results… Fantastic unique aroma profiles to be found…
I jumped on these this year for my selections for a few reasons, which I seem to have so many these days. 30:1 CBD, High Thcv Strains and Early finish. So we’ll see how that works out.
I started the two photoperiods Double Durban Thcv and Early Frost a few weeks ago in the tent waiting on the weather to catch up and it has finally arrived. So out in the garden they go today!
The acer garden is popping right now too and the autoflower seeds today as well. Auto Skunk Thcv and Sour RNA Seedless 30:1 CBD. I’ll post up a pic when they pop.
Sorry to hear about Kyote RIP Growbro! This one’s for you.
I don’t know if I want to be noted for the premier F1 hybrid breeder.
Oh I get the finding of a unicorn thing, but I really like to know what I’m going to grow is going to look like and perform.
I don’t mind growing them for testing and I actually find it pretty interesting when it’s done in a grow n show or just plain testing. I like seeing actual growers coming up with different phenotypes with the different methods we all use.
Oh man, I’m stoked your trying alternate cannabinoids AND triploids! Plus T20M’s EF’s, which I missed out on with that free drop last year… I’ve been very curious about the whole lot, so this grow will be a treat to see!
– yes I did,…last year, you gellie!
She did great OD’s here, very solid performance across the board She expressed strongly Kushy, little sign of AsianHaze in her looks on anything… Dry buds are dense AF, heavy epoxy-like resin; nice sweet floral/light fruity/candy aroma… Potent! Balanced high, nice Sativa effects which is AHz finally showing through!
My neighbor shot me a text about some of the gas station herb she and her bad reaction to it.
I told her that if she wanted grow something good outdoors that I knew would work, I told her I thought I could probably cover her.
Man, If I could only grow cannabis in my old vegetable garden, Mendo Dope Would go Caa Caa!
That sandy loam soil had become so dark and more importantly so them deep. That was the hardest part about selling that place! Right behind that the sobering fact that my military injuries have just become too much for me to maintain it. Not a easy pill to swallow!
You wouldn’t think little over 130 miles would make that much difference, but at the old farm, mold or mud rot would be far less of a concern with the lower humidities and more.
Next year I may transition more into large pots, maybe a cpl this year. Direct soil planting for most all this year. One last season of looking for monsters i believe.
That OHZ made some killer crosse.
No kidding!?! Dang, thought they always had a higher reputation than that..suppose not if your gear hits n misses equally lol dunno how long they’ve had it but some time as far as this uear goes I just ordered the 81 heirloom Florida skunk project from Katsu, and also Twenty20s skunk project work too..Anand MT. Lions 3 types of skunks..lots of regs..got me a skunk project with as many genetics of skunk as I’ve got.
