Day 56..all is well, as tall and lanky as they are I figured good chance the colas don’t stack too tightly due to so much space between them but they’re doing their thing. Tall skinny plants the mains are 54 and 52 inches from dirt, defo got the sativa structure and I’m loving the openness for light and air you get with it. I finished my two weeks of Big Bud supplement and started my week of P/K Boost. Normally would be at 100% light (630 watts) but they’re closer to light than normal plus it’s hot so I’ll stay at 80% for a couple more weeks then I’ll drop to 60% to finish.

Do u happen to have experience growing in a coco soil mix? Im a bit confused of when to start feeding

No I’ve only grown in coco, previously 50/50 and 70/30 mix with perlite but for the last year I’ve been using 100% coco (canna coco). I’m too chicken to deal with soil :joy:

My first trip to the hydro store I told the guy I’m clueless and I’d rather not have to guess things like when and how much to feed. Said I’d rather feed every day than not be sure so he set me up with coco because it’s inert and I’d have to feed every day lol never looked back

Day 60…feels like an official post day since they’re 2/3 the way there! Tent temps were getting high so I decreased light power to 60%.

I’ve always found Speedrun seeds to be on the skinny side as far as thin branches but the plant on the right is a trip because not only is she suuuuuper skinny but she grows very horizontally :joy: even with direct light above her the branches would grow 2 inches out for every two inches up. The other day I tied the short top branches to each other and long branches to the stalk at the bottom in an effort to get everything relatively vertical and prevent ending up on the floor. I use pipe cleaners for ties and reuse for pipes and bowl stems. You can see them from top to bottom of pic

That was my exact logic when I decided with my first ever Auto Pot run that I would be using 100% Coco.

You’re putting on an absolute master class over here and I am LOVING it!

Aren’t the skinny branches more of a ruderellis trait?

Could very well be, I have no idea but makes sense. They do grow like they know they have limited time lol they’re explosive. My speedrun plants have had the skinniest branches so far but I’ve only grown them along with night owl and Mephisto and those two produce very thick growth.

Those are stacking nicely. Should be a good harvest for you. :greenthumb:

I’m curious when it smokes I’ve heard folks talk about the ruderellis flavor in autos and that’s why they did t like them. But it could be a bias from someone who hasn’t smoked them in a while.

Those look like real pipe cleaners! I remember they worked great when I used them, tried the craft version and they weren’t nearly as strong or as versatile. Ahh, memories…looking fire in there! Let’s go!
