Dab Grows

Would I be able to use say promix hp and gaia green to top dress. Maybe some worm casting to keep it going right away till top dressing?

Hell yeah appreciate that brother thanks for joining

Probably but not completely sure promix doesn’t have much in it you may need to let it cook before starting with some amendments and EWC. But I’m probably not the guy to be asking about that specifically. Never used promix or gia green anytime I’ve done organics I start with pre built soil. Thanks for joining in though I try to help where I can

Went 1 for 3 on the new germs PMK and SxS didn’t pop up but grim reaper did. This heady start seed mix drys out way faster than I thought it would. One seed popped a tail then never did anything I was away so wasn’t here to mist tops of soil thinking it got over dry and seeds just died. Starting two more and going to use domes and and set up the humidifier hopefully have better luck this time I know to pay attention

Cheers all!:victory_hand:

To be honest I have been thinking about trying a soil grow. I may just try that BAS 2.0. Been seeing it a lot lately. And my big focus is quality over quantity. So I may try this in a smaller tent and see how it goes.

Thanks brother PMK came up but I think I went from too dry to too wet and made six x stc damp off. Started another new bean yesterday feel like a total rookie lately

To be honest bro that is exactly why I have not taken this plunge yet. My first grow I tried to germinate 6 Seedsman auto beans in Stonington blend and they all dampened off. The only way for me to get better is to keep at I guess. So I will be paying close attention if you don’t mind .

So I’ll stick to Coco for my next one. But will try this after I stockpile.

Problem I think I was having is the seed start mix I got was extremely dry out of the bag it didn’t like taking water. I believe it now but at first it was only wet on the first half inch or so. Stoneington was always fairly easy just water and leave alone for the first week this BAS soil dries out way faster compared to stoneington

I did leave a dome on them after they sprouted so that’s probably the culprit.

I wish you the Best of luck bro :four_leaf_clover:.

Somebody said that “damping off” is actually a fungus infection. I’ve had trouble with it several times, where the seed sprouts normally, then the stem gets very skinny and the sprout dies. I’ve been starting in coco, soaked with diluted nutes (1.5 g/GL of Megacrop 1-part). Last grow I added a teaspoon per gallon of Southern Ag “garden friendly fungicide” just in case. It’s a bacterial culture that eats fungi. I’m going to try it again for this next batch.

I did add some hydroguard to the initial watering. I’m really just hoping I was dealing with some hydrophobic soil and bad watering habits to start hopefully got things on the right track now guess we’ll see

I looked it up, and Hydroguard and Garden Friendly Fungicide are both CBacillus amyloliquefaciens. I think the Southern Ag product is more concentrated (1x10^10 cfu/ml versus 1x10^4).

My Strawberry Banana Auto is currently on day 62, and the buds are still swelling more and more.

The plant is growing in a super soil that I prepared myself, and it has been fed only with plain water from start to finish under FC-4800 EVO lights.

The base soil I used was BioBizz Light Mix, and I mixed the following amendments into it by eye to create my super soil:

  • Mycoterra Azorock
  • Vithal Garden Seaweed Bokashi
  • Guanokalong Complete Organics
  • Mycoterra Supersoil F1
  • Mycoterra Fosforock
  • Mycoterra Dolomita
  • Vermisafa Worm Castings
  • Mykos Mycorrhizae

The results have been incredible. The plant keeps swelling and developing beautifully while being fed with nothing but water.
