lol I forgot about the lime thats not needed for living coco an not recommended as far a I have noticed I don’t get a lot of ph issues with what I add definitely not enough for lime ![]()
I always use lime in mine but mines peat yet I tend to use acidic feeds at times..I do t balance the fermentation and feed cycles for optimum performance..I just feed random stuff with a soul prep as I’ve always done but use the same eventhough I dont use my rounded teas anymore..real shame that..although I’m thinking of Brewing one for posterities sake lol
Are you reusing your soil ?I make anerobic teas no pump I know back in the day they weren’t recommended but I always looked at them kinda like a compost tea an I swear nothing got fungal mats popping like them .
Yep..half n half really..but as you may recall early tea were actual teas hot brewed in the sun and stirred and kept at certain temps in n outta the shade or just shade on a hot day stirring it up..its very effective. Just can be problematic at times due to sourced materials and diseases, and That kind of thing. But yeah I re use much of my soil so e I use in the garden outside to fill stuff, top stuff off..all kinds of things..photos outside amended as I’m doing now.
Caught me Im super salty.
I never once talked about quality or whos the best at coco. Never said this is the recipe to use. Nothing of the sorts.
TF dude..never said you did..Just pointing out facts man..not everybody is trying to beat you up..fkn relax, christ. And I thought it was funny cuz its got the 2007 all over it..its funny is all..didnt say one way or the other..

I didnt think I was being any kind of way. People keep getting involved and steering the debate into different directions than what it was about. It seemed like you were doing that again. My fault.
Nope.just pointing out that its old and not very awesome..and I remember those days..cheap,and anything new, like Walmart castings n powdered lime, not prilled/pellitized. Now that said ,on a side note close to 20 years difference. Danks is a far superior mix. But no,that’s not what I was doing at all.just making basic conversation is all about we’re all fkn old ![]()
When I get there I think it makes sense to produce some s1s and keep a mom alive as long as possible. Go both routes? If you do lose the mom then got something very close that will make it a little easier to replace her.
I stopped using lime in my soil mix 2 years ago and I have not seen any issues, in fact my blend seems even better without it. I’d do living soil or maybe even coco, but I can’t stick with one style long enough to be worth it lol. I love the work your doing though. And I could gave a rat’s ass if you were first or not. You HAVE perfected it beyond the norm by far, and that’s what matter’s. My best skill is transplanting. I am beginning to believe that transplanting done right may stimulate the plant into a burst of growth. I have actually measured growth in my transplants in as little as 8 hours. I’ve had transplants growth 1" to 1 1/2" in 12 hours, and that’s fairly consistent. It’s like they know quickly the soil field has expanded!
I have some dolomite in my reamend recipe. But Im in living soil too. Im half way thru my first 20gal pot run so Im not into true living soil yet. I have been recycling and re amending between runs. Excited to get into no till.
Maybe they sense a pressure difference in the soil or something from the volume change. I havent heard anything about the transplant boost but youve got me wanting to look into it. You always hear the opposite about transplant in general.
Exactly. I spent years working out the protocol I use. I use unconventional starter pots etc. I’ve lost one out of more than 1000 transplants and that was because I fumbled the rootball.
I think I wrote about transplanting on the old forum. But maybe I’ll rewrite it.
@Dankstyle-J - Killer grows. Thanks for the threads and knowledge.
@GasPlease - Killer grows. Thanks for the threads and knowledge.
It’s great reading both you guys grow logs. Different styles but ya both rock it.
The sweet zkittlez is the dark leafed flower the other flower is the gelonoidzxblue candy
Every thing is going big bud style!!!
That’s some frosty looking plants bro nice , how is the smell of the Gelonoidz x BlueCandy?
I have often wondered about this especially with root bound plants
exploding in growth once put into final pot .I don’t know of the possibility of a plant saving energy but maybe it’s just a matter of the resources being met an stimulation of growth .Also yhe whole cooking process I never do I just mix an let the microbes
do the work I even put a rotting apple in my outside tomato plant
in living coco an noticed no ill affect.
Thanks I got one gelonoidzxblue candy thats got some sour d terps .The other has maybe an orange pine smell .The blue buff capri has a kushy kind of smell but my nose hasn’t been working to good I think a side effect from dabs an pollen
Each one has done amazing considering it’s been pretty hot an definitely a challenge to keep temps down The terps are still there an thats one thing heat kills but these ladies remain loud !!!
I don’t intentionally cook my soil either. I do make batches in advance and store them in an outside deck box for use during the winter. As to root bound plants, I’d love to be able to see what happens in the root zone when they are transplanted. Plants are just endlessly amazing!
