DNS Record Change

Hey everyone!

This morning, we officially disconnected the Autoflower.org domain from the old Xenforo-hosted site. If you would like to still access the site, you can do so through the cloud hosted subdomain URL:

autoflowernetwork.community.forum

This URL will not change for the foreseeable future; so feel free to bookmark it.

The original Autoflower.org domain should point to the new Discourse forum here in the next 24-48 hours (provided we didn’t cock anything up.)

The original Xenforo-hosted site is going to be kept as a read-only, archive going forward.

You will still have access to your threads, your content, your private messages, your old logins will still work, you can even still private message on there, but you will not be allowed to post, reply, or create new content.

In the coming weeks/months, the goal is to create a “content curator” team of users that would like to help us sort and tag existing content on there, making it even more worthwhile to keep as an archive. It would be a disservice to simply delete the old site, with so much amazing content generated on there.

As a slight heads up; some content -was- removed in efforts of reducing the file size of the database/full backup. The site is massive with all the attachments (over 1.5 million attachments.) The larger video uploads (which was meant to be a test and not a permanent thing,) were removed in effort of reducing the file storage size. Some of the older Live Stoner Chat threads were gutted as well (over 3000+ pages of uploaded content that is not indexed, not crawled, and simply not relatively to searches.) The idea isn’t to save EVERYTHING, it’s to save what’s going to be relative to content searches.

Anyway, we’ll discuss a bit more on the curation side of things (and am open to creating a team with team discussions and group input about it.)

Thank you everyone for sticking with us during the transition and construction, and here’s to hopefully many more years of the greatest autoflower forum out there!
