Anyone got secrets for pressing large amounts of flower quickly?

I usually put 7g of flower per bag and use bottle tech. Getting the corners folded in then loading the bags so the corners stay takes the most time for me.

I did grab some bags and a pre press from press club that im hoping makes things easier and a little faster. The pre press is just your standard cylinder and these are the bags except I got 120s

Those round bags are amazing. You can press a puck and put it in. Or you can just pack em full and press bottle tech. Those are a game changer but expensive.

It says they can be used 5x. If thats true they arent too expensive. And a no blowout guarantee.

I never tried to reuse one. I just throw it away lol. So maybe that has something to do with it.

They get here monday and it will be my first time using them. But the site says just wash them in alcohol and good for 5 uses. :crossed_fingers:

Gutenburg bags have become my favorite but any 3” bag can handle half oz easy I usually put 18-20 grams per 3” bag if I go more then that I tend to get blowouts. You can fit a oz in a 3” bag bottletek style

Ive briefly read about losing returns to the flower reabsorbing the rosin. You know anything about that? Like is there a sweet spot to that too?

How big are your plates?

I got some of these 100 microns in a variety starter bundle and had good results all around. Might have to give them another try too. Those gutenburgs are a good price.

No I guess I don’t know about that. Sometimes I wonder if my yields could be better then I’ll have 25% return which it don’t get much better then that. I remember @frankthetank doing some testing with different size bags and yields were the same.

My plates are 4”x7”

I like the dulytek bags they are good. TBH I didn’t want to piss on your parade but I hated press club bags they were the worst for blowouts

Did you try the guarantee and get new bags from them?

My plates are only 3x4 but I’m going to try 10 and 14g next press.

No didn’t seem worth it what am I going to get back more bags that blowout? Not like there crazy expensive at the time I was much happier with dulytek and nugsmasher. Till I tried the Gutenberg’s they don’t blow out unless I over pack them and they are why cheaper then NS bags. Best bags are NS dulytek Gutenberg and dab press in that order most any others I’ve used blow out easier

Try 2.5-2.6 bags you can do a half oz in that easier I used to use those with my 3”x7” plates that I had before. 2” bag with much more then 8-9 grams may give you problems.

Idk. Maybe after repeated claims I can get a refund and get all those presses for “free” even tho they werent the best. Or I sue them for something that Im not smart enough to think of. False advertisement? They probably got some fine print somewhere that says I have to press a certain way. Hopefully theyve gotten better.

My grow store has NS bags but have been out of 120s for 4-5 weeks now. I was there yesterday and asked for the 3rd time about them. He got on the computer right then and ordered them. I prefer supporting local business but Im definitely going to try those gutenburgs.

So you think 7g is the balance for 2”?

Yeah maybe little more put as much as you can and still fit between your plates and until you get blowouts. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a 2” for flower I think it 8-9 for me. 2.5 can go more higher micron tends to blow out less too. I use 90 most the time last couple times I’ve pressed I’ve been using 120 just to use them up you get a little more yield but not a ton

I seen somewhere reddit discord where guys are using down to 37 and 70 micron for better product. There is more lose but not sure how much cause I haven’t tried it yet

Another thing food for thought with your reabsorbing question earlier even if some is reabsorbed you’ll get it back when you process your puck. Assuming you’re making edibles from your used pucks?
