Wait, I need subtitles for English movies too, even though it was my first language. My hearing is shot. In person, most of the time I’m guessing what the conversation is about, so I often answer way off-topic. People probably assume it’s Alzheimer’s.
I need to apply to be the captions person for the discovery channel! Most of the shows i can tell they f up tons of words cuz they are either dumb or for some shows maybe they don’t speak redneck!

The brat pack is back. The boy (who I’ve nicknamed Dopey McDanielstein) accidentally bent the wing on a giant ass dragonfly. Now we’ve built a jar habitat to nurse it back to health. The generic bomb pops went over well. Now there is a debate over whether to give it some water or an ice cube. I just googled it. We need live insects. Now the child horde is outside flipping over rocks looking for roly poly’s.
I think that’s AI that makes the captions. I’m sure you could do a better job.
All dis smoke gettin in the way of my smokin ![]()
I have just learned that this is “the house of good snacks.”
Ya man! I hated going to my friends houses with cheap parents where they bought them knockoff little debbie snacks! Them things just don’t hit right!
These kids stare at me through the patio glass like they are orphans that haven’t eaten in a week. I was chiefin’ earlier, one of them stuck their head inside the patio door and declares “it smells like dill pickles in here.” lol
I was gonna warn you that once you feed them you’ll never get rid of them. I hope you like kids.
Eh? What’s that?
VA still hasn’t authorized aids…slow as fuck

That’s actually why I turned subtitles on! ![]()
Then I started to explore other language shows. Blessings in disguise
Us too, growmie.
We’ve had unusualy dry weather year-round the last 2 years or so, and record heat, so the forests are literally tinder boxes.
There have been months of red skies in the lower mainland and ash coating car windows. Not as bad as when Mt St Helens erupted but it is reminiscent
I thought wildfires were a California thing, but now it’s everywhere. Australia, then Europe… Now Canada? Who’d 'a thunk it.
California was pretty bad, with the scarcity of water compounding things.
I was reading that Aussie firefighters work all year round. With their fire months occuring opposite N America’s, it works out great for them and you and us.
@PinkyNotTheBrain apparently a year was too long so he’s only doing 28 days of the fried chicken diet!

Uh oh. Thunder. Lots of it. Pray that no new fires are sparked!
I came upon this earlier!

I got to within about 1/4 mile of it but it was so smoky and so many fire trucks I couldn’t see shit!
That video is nuts! Place was a straight inferno!
Glad you didn’t get close! Toxic smoke containing airborn glass shards sucks!
