Oh no there’s times when you need shorties! I had this little short Puerto Rican kid on one of my crews. I taught him how to do a pain in the ass shaft seal job on one of those old S class boats… Sargo, Swordfish…
When I would do the job, I would go into the hole in the morning with a fresh set of coveralls, Food and water was handed to me and I didn’t come out until it was time to go home. It was too difficult to climb in and out In doing so I still ripped up a set of coveralls.
After I taught him how to do that first one, every time we had another shaft seal job, I would holler out, ā€œHey Rodriguez! I got your favorite job!ā€
Very shitty design!
All those different jobs, a 688 class submarine shaft seal job only came up once. Room was not really a super big problem in that job. Size was! That single shaft was quite a bit larger then those old twin screws or even the 637 class.
The most insane part of the job was the torque sequence of tightening the seal. I wanna say it was 38 studs And I don’t know how many sequences that we had take it down. We did have the tools specifically designed to do this job. Absolutely the biggest torque wrench I’ve ever seen or even dreamt of!!! But that was only Like the first half of the torque sequences. After that we had to add a multiplier. I believe the final torque was just under 800 foot pounds.
I painted numbers on each one of the studs in order of sequence of torque. I had one guy that was responsible of keeping up with torque sequences. He’s the one that sign the work package on The final torques.
It took two shifts to get it done, but only one crew.

One old lady would have been perfect, if her head had been a bit flatter. So Using her for a place to set my beer, she had to hold the beer when I sat it on top of her head.
She was 4ft11. I’m just over 6ft2. :man_facepalming:

I very much appreciate member’s input about this! :folded_hands:

Sort of my plan. As it is, my exhaust is running constantly at low speed. The cheapo 1 gal humidifier is in the lung room near the tent intake which is inefficient. I have to put the humidifier inside the tent, so it needs a controller or it will rain in there.

However it is set up, as long as I don’t have to climb stairs several times per day to fill it and turn it up/down/on/off I’ll be happy with it.

Just waiting for the seedlings to get tall enough to transplant.

It is an analog humidifier right? I’m assuming u are smart enough to know u can’t use a digital one with them controllers! And humidifier in tent is okay if u make it where the mist points towards a fan that can immediately disperse it vs spraying a plant directly!

Does ProTerp make a difference? I’d say it absolutely does lmao. This thing is going to be every bit of 2.5-3lb and it’s the smaller one of the two that was under it. Never ran above 550W

Still got 1 more to go 10-14 more days I’d imagine

Once this one is down, the great reset will commence. Going RDWC next run, going to finish up some electrical haven’t been able to do while these plants have been running, and maybe going to turn on the CO2 and install the mini split

If anyone needs a 600w ProTerp still have one not spoken for. Get it at https://mosindoorlighting.com use code Spring2026 at checkout to save 7% works on the 800s also, if you order an 800w all the ones for June delivery are spoken for. Orders for 800s that come in between now and June 15th will go out it first 1/2 of July.

Of course. It has an on/off/potentiometer. Nothing fancy about it at all.

As it is now the intake goes into the oath of an oscillating fan. Once the humidifier is moved it will stream to the fan.

The plants are barely a week old so moving them out to rewire stuff should be relatively easy with help from family.

I just hope that my body can endure. Good chance I will be combining canna oil joints vapor and meds after that.

I HAVE A ROMANTIC DATE WITH MY LOVELY WIFE. :woman_and_man_holding_hands:

I suggested that instead of a restaraunt, we go to Garden Works nursery and get plants for the patio. A little more money but we can enjoy them for a long time.

I want a 3’ long planter and 3 hardened lemon balm plants. Mellissa smells great, wards off flies and mosquitos, attracts polinators, and most important is a sedative tea or caps.

My better half likely wants shade dwelling perennial flowers. And I’m thinking ferns as the patio is under the shade of large trees. …

And they have to be non-toxic to the dogs.

I’ve had this Foxtail fern in the same pot for over two decades. Divided it 2 or 3 times over the years. Decided to give several of my big container plants away earlier this year, just too big and heavy to move in/out of the garage 2 times a year.

I’m sure this trucker’s seen his fair share.

I like this. Very unusual looking fern and I have a perfect spot. Thanks!

Thats weird cuz arbico organics sells melissa oil that u put on your yellow sticky traps to attract fungus gnats to get em stuck dead quicker!

Interesting. The tenacious little buggers borrowed from the polinators playbook.

Good to know. I’ll give a generous top dress of diatomatious earth and crush up mosquito dunks for the soil just for good measure.

There is no substitute for @blue my friend. Not sky blue (that wouldn’t do,) not royal blue (boo-hoo,) not even Dr Who (who generally knew just what to do.) Just plain’ ol @blue .
