Good morning AFN Homies! Hope y’all are having an awesome day! Yesterday Mama and I were cleaning out all the jars and straightening up a little and we found some of weed that’s been curing for at least 6 months now. We usually put a couple nugs aside for the long cure, but we almost always forget about them. Well we cleaned that closet out and found some amazingly tasty Slush Mint Cake from @Antonio and Dutch Passion for that Grow and Show a while back. I can absolutely say that this was amazing with a 2wk cure, and it only got better! I also found some November Reign from @Jean-O that has cured up into something crazy tasty! It has Ć  crazy funk that I can’t describe. Found a few more Mephisto crosses as well, they were a little older and got tossed into the hash pile. I also harvested the last two Blueberry Blizzy plants so the tent is on drying duties. After they get jarred up I will clean everything thoroughly and get set up to start again. I have so many new strains I have no idea what I’m gonna grow, I want to grow from gear from breeders I know people love but I haven’t tried yet, so far I have some Speedrun, @Dream-Beans , Night Owl, and @Nancys_Own . Who else should I be growing in my tents?

Twenty20 Project Skunk!

I think I’m gonna replace the CBG photo with this one.

I’m gonna have some decent from one of the girls in the four at 4 tent, but I want some really good ā€˜Get in your nose and can’t get it out’ funk
Something to really test those new refillable carbon filters from AC Infinity. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
And I’ll be taking clones from the girl that I plant, just in case it really is that stir with a stick roadside funk.

If it is that particular funk, Then I’m gonna make some seeds. With it being an F2, It definitely doesn’t mean you’re gonna get the fun, but you’re gonna get a better chance I think.
Since both of her parents were outdoor selections and they say that Project Skunk shows strong resistance to septoria, then it would be a good candidate for our annual outdoor grow contest.
And since it would be good for the forum, I would also send seeds to @Hobbes For him to include with the giveaway contest prize like with Asian Haze.

But that’s if I only get the funk.

Is that a single or a twin type system?
A 2 pipe system uses outside air to bring in cooling air for the condenser in the other pipe to exhaust the heat outside.
A single pipe system takes in inside air runs it over the condenser and exhausts it out side with the single pipe.
Needless to say single pipe systems are extremely inefficient and you can’t run CO2.
BUT… Just while asking this question, I came up with a way where you could make a single pipe system a bit more efficient.
I think a basement would be the most common instance where this could be useful. Instead of ventilating outside the building, you could ventilate it another room that is air conditioned by the central system or other means.
That way it really only move the thermal load to the main house method of conditioning.
That is instead of putting the House under negative pressure and drawing outside air in,as with all one pipe portable ac systems.

My first grow setup in the big walk in closet Have a single pipe portable AC. It worked great, but it put way too big of a load on an old system of the rest of the house.

I did this one for a little bit as well. It worked all right, but I was not able to really dial it in the way I wanted. I still had pretty big swings, depending on what the central AC was doing because the plants where not in the room that had the thermostat for the central AC, if the long room got filled with hot humid air from the tent, but the rest of the house was still nice and cool. The central air would not kick on to deal with it.

The VIVOSUN AC that I have ā€œAeroLushā€ is a THREE pipe system. One pipe brings air into the unit, and a second returns cool air back to the tent (or room) while a third pipe runs a small amount of exhaust air out of it, that can pass through a window duct to exhaust it or you can have it in a lung room with a "6 carbon filter attached without losing much efficiency.

The problem with the recirculating system is that it pulls humidity out of the room at quite a shocking rate while it recirculates the air.

That is why I had to get a separate humidifier in the room and run it through veg and flower, which is unconventional in my opinion, typically you just hear about dehumidifiers.

I figured out that by dialing in the humidity and running the AC constantly it would maintain a perfect balance and VPD. I am running 20 hours of light and four 4 of darkness. I drop the temperature roughly 10° give or take a 3° swing and turn off the humidifier and the AC just keeps the humidity and check during that time.

It took me a little a while to find this perfect balance but right now it is working beautifully!

Damn power companies are just too powerfula no pun intended but I’ll take it.

If I recall it gets quite windy at your house. Are wind generators an option?
