S1 SeedBank

Hey everyone, welcome back! I’m starting to build my own S1 seed bank. I’ve read tons of articles and posts about it, and I’ve begun buying seeds from the genetics I really liked. This is going to be my very first S1 seed purchase.

I can help out anyone who’s curious — feel free to ask questions and I’ll share my experiences in a Q&A style. Don’t forget to like the post/topic!

Strain: Strawberry Banana Auto

Flowering begins around day 21 for me.

I’ll do my first STS spray at that point — just 1 or 2 branches is plenty. Make sure it doesn’t spread to the rest of the plant; those untouched branches will be the ones we pollinate to get seeds.

Spray STS every 4 days, 3–4 applications in total, targeting only the flowering sites/areas.

Here’s a natural, fluent English translation of your text, formatted nicely for sharing in a grow journal, forum post, or group:

Pollen Sac Development & Collection (Strawberry Banana Auto S1 project)

The first pollen sacs should start opening around day 25 after the initial flowering signs (so roughly total days 44–45 from seed, depending on when pistils first appeared).

At that point, the pollen sacs will open and release pollen.

Humidity is the biggest enemy of pollen viability — keep average relative humidity between 40–50% (ideally closer to 40% for best results).

To collect:

• Turn off all fans completely before harvesting pollen (no airflow to avoid blowing it away or contaminating).

• Use a small, clean brush (like a soft paintbrush or makeup brush) to gently collect the pollen from the open sacs.

• Then, immediately apply/brush it onto the branches/dalls you want to pollinate for seed production.

Pro tip: Work in a calm, still environment and collect only when sacs are fully open and dry. High humidity can kill pollen viability quickly, so monitor your RH closely during this window.

The pistils on pollinated branches will quickly change color and curl inward (or retract) within 7 days

In 2 weeks, the first seed pods will start forming, and approximately 4-6 weeks later the seeds will turn brown and be ready for harvest.”

Awesome man! I am wanting to try this myself. I’ll reference this guide. Might have a question here and there.
