When I started a couple years back I made the mistake of getting a 3 x 3 tent. It must be the least popular size, judging from selection of lights available. Any recommendations?
you should talk to @AutoGrowerMo on here…..he custom builds some incredible lights.
You want one of these in your life
scaled down version of our 800W. Comes in 320w and 400w (can’t fit anymore diodes so it’s just a slightly larger driver don’t worry though it doesn’t overdrive the diodes any, just not under driving them). 30-45 day build time.
Mo! Can this fixture be run on 120V? If so, what is the amp draw?
Yea, it’ll run 100-277V. Amp draw at 110-120v would be 2.7-2.9A @320w. 400w version draw a little more 3.3-3.6A
3x3 has a ton of light options. I prefer an oversized light to run at reduced power though because virtually all 4x4 lights fit a 3x3 and if you go bar style you can get away running flower at 50% with autos
Ac infinity has a few options, as well as spider farmer and mars hydro.
Most 4x4 lights that fit in a 3x3 aren’t really 4x4 lights, most of them are 450-480w. I do agree if go that route they should be turned down some though.
Ac infinity is 500w and spider farmer has one that’s 500 too but thats way overboars at led efficiency. The rule of thumb is 100w per 2x2 or at least thats how it used to be.
25-30w per square foot 3.0-3.2ppe at this fixture level (not the diode level, if it says 3.14ppe they are quoting the diode level PPE), 2.8-3.0ppe 30-35w per square foot, 2.6-2.8ppe 40w per square foot. 2.4-2.6ppe 50w per square foot. (If you’re not using CO2)
I don’t see this configuration on your site. How can I learn the cost of the 320 watt setup? Dang, there’s so much I don’t know about lighting!
320w is $489, 400w $519. 2.9-3.0PPE
Why not upgrade the tent to the size you want at the same time?
Cheaper tents can be had for a little over a hundred bucks…
Many reasons, but mostly because I don’t have space and my old shack has the finest 125 amp electric service (2 wire conductor (no ground wire) Zinsco breaker box) you could buy in 1949.
