Lookin good bro! Id say thats a step in the right direction away from pancakes.

There’s a reason I’m not showing that ADL right now.

It is not a pretty sight.

BUT

I’m gonna give it hell tonight.

Hopefully salvage what I can, as it is not very far in the budding process yet

Even though it’s already at 93 days above soil and 55 days of flower…

I’m just stoked for August when I start this next grow

I want to do things differently, but I’ve got to see this through to the end

Ah you grow & learn right  What was the reason it happening you think?

A lack of experience in the 420autoflower method, and a lack of time to keep up with it.

I’ve done plenty of “traditional” soil grows with regular seeds, but this year was lots of firsts.

First time using LST, first time using a net to SCROG, first time growing hydroponics, first time growing autoflowers… just bit of a LOT of new things at once.

I’ll still get the ADL to the finish line. I took it out of the net yesterday to REALLY get in and trim it again…

Maybe if I can make it look half decent I’ll show it again, but if not… I got 5 more seeds I can try again ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Fair enough mate! And yeah those are a lot of firsts in one grow, you kept her in alive and in pretty decent shape, not bad so! Keep it up bro, I’m sure next time you’ll grow her many things will be dialed in and you can aim for a bumper harvest :oncoming_fist:

Weekly update.

I spent over six hours yesterday in this tent, and then a couple more this morning.

I’ll spend a couple more tonight.

I had to thin out a bunch of the auto daiquiri lime, it was just an absolute jungle of lateral branches, really excited to throw this again without doing all the training, just to see what it can naturally produce.

But I think I’ve got it at a point now where I can at least get some decent buds off of it.

The anvil is looking great, thinned it out a little more. And then I put both of them on one side of the 4 x 8 to make room for the four plants that I will be starting in soil over there.

Originally, I was going to do two soil white gen 3 and two soil Auto lemon Kix, but now I’m thinking one auto lemon Kix, one white gen 3, one auto daiquiri lime, and one auto candy bubatz XL

You are right…

I could right the book on how to NOT do the 420autoflower method.

basically the opposite of @GasPlease :smiling_face_with_tear:

Pics with dates as follows

mind you there was also defoliation going on every day, the photos are just days showing the growth rate and then days I TRIED to get a good trim on it (several hours session) but I feel like I still was not able to keep up.

May 9 (not the original Schwaz and flatten) but oldest picture I still have on my phone.

May 14 five days later

May 15 The next day after trim

May 18 three days later

May 19 the next day post trim

May 22, three days later

May 24, two days later post trim

May 30 six days later

June 4, five days later

June 4 post trim

June 18

June 23 post trim

Moral of the story is don’t be like me kids.

I thought the same when I read that. Great advice. Nothing to be ashamed of around here, just lessons learned.

I’ve learned way more from journals where things don’t go perfect, than any perfect grow!

The short and simple is that you are trying to do too much too often. Also maybe why you are burning out. May 15 shouldnt have been so heavy. You need better balance between letting her develop and flooding her with hormones.

Every time you go heavy like that you cause her to say “oh shit! All my energy production is gone I need to dump everything I got into more energy production”. This is why you are having so many leaves.

A heavy session is also a lot of stress which will “pause” development while she heals. So interrupting her too often is keeping her short. Underdeveloped.

Defoliation like growing, is so situational, its hard to guide someone without being there in person explaining every thought.

Beginning of stretch full schwazz. Which to me is stripping all fan leaves with a visible stem, so like about 1/2" at least.

During stretch, weekly medium session and daily defol of tops. Medium session usually results in the top half of the canopy looking bare but the lower half still has plenty of fan leaves. “Defol of tops” means I want the bud site on the top of every branch to have direct access to light, nothing more. A daily session is 1-3 handful of leaves depending on the plant size.

End of stretch another full schwazz. For me this one is much more situational. I dont take “every” fan leaf like the first schwazz but when Im finished each cola will have its own space and looking top down you’ll be able to see through the bottom.

And I might revisit it again at some point and try again, but I definitely want a break from this method.

I’ve had a lot more success with the anvil than I did on the auto daiquiri lime. But even still.

In the back is Dutch passion Auto Candy Bubatz

Front is blue dream, unfortunately, I forgot the company.

On this side we have 12 assed raven in the front, anvil in the back

Another shot without the blurple running

Dirty bird genetics, sour strudel

ChemDawg I would have to go back and look who the company was for this one as well.
