Day 69 and feeling fine 
haven’t bothered with trichs yet but from what I see I should get a good 8-10 days between harvests of each tray. That’s perfect for the one plant that will fit in the Cannatrol each time. I’ll have to hang dry the other but that’s easy peasy with my handy dandy hanging rig that’s right above my garage tv lol.

Day 74…a few amber trichs were spotted on the 91 Grapes but only on the leaves. Not many clear though so I’m guessing they’ll be chopped by late week.
Sorry for the boring journal but I’m a boring grower 
no scissors allowed until pre-stretch lollipop, then post-stretch defol and a 2nd defol then chop. The trays eliminate not just a few daily hand feedings but also waste removal so my time is spent admiring them while I’m watching tv. My tent is always open when I’m out here, I like to think the Co2 from the dogs and I can’t hurt. But mostly I just like staring at em!

I made a bumper sticker back in the day with their bumper stickers. I pasted a big high times bud over the Budweiser can and my sticker read
“Dodger Blue, This Buds for You”
I slapped that on the back of my Capi canyon racer. Got pulled over and searched a few times but hahaha

Thank you Antonio I use 3gal cheap fabric pots off amazon filled with 2.5gal of coco. I’ve found that with the pots/trays the plants grow the same size in 3gal as the 5gal so why waste coco. A friend grew 9oz in a 2gal pot on the tray. Crazy

Chopped 91 Grapes last night. Chemmy Powers still has a week. Knew it was going to happen but I grew too much bud and now I have to get another wine fridge. That’s how growing is though right? First thought is “don’t need much so only growing 1” and an hour later it’s “well it’s no harder to grow 4 and I have all these beans!”

Yeah, my daughter is a huge San Francisco fan. Why I don’t know she must be adopted not my child or something extraterrestrial?
So some years ago when I was at a conference in Las Vegas, I got the meet the chief technology officer, and president of the Giants of all organizations and so I got to get my picture taken with the SF World Series ring and then sent it to her ha ha ha ha I thought that was pretty fucking funny. It was kind of a good burn, but her burn was Buster Posey hit a grand slam home run while we were at the game the one year.

Day 86..tomorrow is chop day for CP
After 4 days drying on the stems, I cut the buds off 91G and put them in the Cannatrol. Although even after shrinking, I was only able to get about a plant and a half in there.
They’re way too small, I wouldn’t recommend one. Hang drying gives same product, I only put these in here to free up the hangers for the new plants. I’ll run a normal dry cycle and start testing for rh in a few days

I mean first off nice grow dude! Looks like a hefty ass harvest.
Second, I think that’s the first negative review of the cannatrol that I’ve seen. I like a different perspective on it. Maybe your conditions are just that good for dry/cure/finishing. What do you think isn’t worth it? Can you tell bud that’s been in it vs not? Do you store in it long term? Bags? Jars?

I’m not sold on those cannatrols but do like the herbsnow I’ve been using for several years. I like to phase the harvest and I think the dryer time helps to space out the phasing about right to let the lower 1/2 of the plant finish out a little more.

First off I’ll say that it works great and does the job it’s supposed to do. It’s just too small and way overpriced. I only bought one because I had just won a couple thousand bucks on the Stanley Cup 2 years ago. I’ve only been able to fit one plant at a time in it though so I had to keep hang drying. To me that kinda defeats the purpose and I haven’t even used it for my last few grows.
I do live in moderate weather (right by the beach in Southern California) so I can hang dry all year long with no problems. My garage temps will range from 60-80 degrees and rh range from 40-70%. I just thought the Cannatrol would deliver a better product through its consistency but in the end I notice no difference between it and my hangers/curing.
I should add here that I grow solely for personal use, and I personally don’t really care about how a plant looks, smells, or tastes. Those are just bonuses, I’m just looking to get high. I’ve heard how I’m supposed to lose some terps because it’s exposed to daylight when hanging in the garage, haven’t really noticed but I honestly wouldn’t care.
I hang them until the buds snap off the stem easily then I cure in grove bags which are stored in a wine fridge set to 60 degrees. When it’s time to roll a joint, whether it’s a week or a year later, I could not tell you if those buds came from the hangers or the Cannatrol. They’re all equally delicious. So my main complaints are size and price, not performance.

I can’t tell if my weed is good or not. It does the job and we like it. However, I think I keep fucking up the dry/cure. I kind of want one just as a control to compare to. If it works good and consistently then it might be worth it to “know.”

I understand that completely, it takes the guesswork out of it which I’m a HUGE fan of at any stage of my grows. That’s why I grow with coco as well as the AutoPot systems, I hate guessing that’s definitely the biggest advantage, set it and forget it. Shoot if the Cannatrols were just a few hundred bucks then I’d probably just buy 4. But one more thing to keep in mind they suggest it be used somewhere not too hot or cold. So in the summertime i had to move it indoors, i used it as a nightstand lmao (luckily i have an extremely cool wife who doesn’t smoke but loves the smell)

I lied, I ended up letting them sit a couple days soaking up what was left of the nutes in the pad and coco. 91G looks ready to come out of the Cannatrol, they’re hitting 59% rh after 3 hours in the test bud mason jar 
. Same approach for CP, I’ll hang for a couple few days and let em shrink a little then see what I can fit in the Cannatrol.

Final haul between both 91G roughly 17-18oz. I’m super happy about that because 8-10 per plant is my target now that I’m in the 4x4. I get real paranoid about mold so it bugs me if plants are too big and smushing against each each other.

Grove bag tare is convenient because it’s an ounce
The 4 bags ranged from 110-115
