I loaded the Cannatrol with buds, im thinking a 4 day dry cycle and probably 2 day cure because of the hanging head start, and the extras will come down when snapped easy off the branch.
Decided on just two plants for this next grow. I dropped 2 Terp Sneeze from Speedrun in to a cup of ro water and tomorrow at this time I’ll drop them in the pot. After only about 4 years grow I’ve changed a LOT of things in my routine but still use the exact same method to germinate that the guy at the store told me on my first visit.
These plants can get kind of big, haven’t topped for a good long while so I’m going old school here and topping after 4 AND possibly cutting the big fans earlier than usual due to not lollipopping later. I want to know the yield/size difference between past with hand watering and present with self feeding. See you guys on day 1

Love the sativa bags. I picked up a bunch of the large amber mason jars years ago when Osh was going under in Lakewood. I love um but still need some big bags.
Nice haul on those plants. Anything over 8oz is good by me. I’ve never run any speed run genetics so it will be interesting to see how this next run goes.

There’s a cheaper version of grove bag that people really like but I’ve had such good results that I’d rather just pay the extra. I only use 1/4 bags with the the childproof seal and I’m still using the bags I bought 4 years ago, they keep the bud fresh forever in a 60 degree fridge.

It’s just a wine fridge, this one is old school but the new ones are pretty reasonable. You can find them for under 200 on amazon. Grove bags advertise that storage temp should be 58-60 degrees to keep bud rh steady and they’re spot on. The bags last for years so I’ve found it a worthy investment. Many cheaper ways to store and cure for an excellent result of course, this is just the method I started with and am too happy with results to change.

Day 1 for Terp Sneeze I just fed them and I use the circle made by the humidity dome as my daily feed area for the first 5ish days then start expanding outward. Using GH Calmag and Canna a&b until flowering starts, ph 5.8, starting ec 1.8 and lights 36" high at about 250w

I tuned the light timer on, I decided to go way back to my roots with a 16/8 schedule. The difference between 24/0 and 18/6 was minuscule at best, at least I noticed no difference anyways. Now I get another 60 hours a month less on the bill I’ll take it.
Dry air passing through for about a week so I plugged in the humidifier. Love this thing, small enough for in the tent and the hose for outside is durable and snaps back down into about a 2.5 foot piece. AC Infinity T7

I’m late buuut… Yeah I use the grove bags until they are dead. I’ve got a 1/4lb bag that the zipper is busted off. It’s only got 2-3oz in it so I can fold & roll it over. Works good enough to keep shuffling the quick supply into it.
Tell me if I got this right:
You hang dry for like 2 days.
Then buck off the stems and put it in the cannatrol -4 days dry and 2 days cure
Then into Grove bags, that you store long term in a wine fridge to hold them at steady 60F?

Pretty much yeah, i like to do all my wet trim with plant still potted then I cut all the main branches off along with any long lower growth branches that are longer than say about a foot and hang them for a couple days.
If I’m using the Cannatrol I start clipping off buds and filling what I can. I always start with the main tops and biggest buds and shrink to mids and smalls from there. These buds are suuuuper dense so I ended up doing the whole cycle of 4d dry 4d cure, testing bud right now and after 4 hours it’s at 56% which is perfect. I’ll test the hangers tomorrow.
If no Cannatrol, I clip off all connecting branches immediately for hanging. The smalls dry first and they become joints while I’m testing the mids and tops for rh in my little jar. Drying time is sometimes a little longer than Cannatrol, about 8-10 days for me.
Then yes exactly, buds testing 58ish percent then go in to the groves. I’ve only used the 1/4lb bags with childproof seal and haven’t busted one yet. Convinced it’s the childproof deal, it’s a bitch even for me haha but that’s good. I open them pretty much daily and still using 4yr old bags. I don’t have a stash jar, just a rolling plate lol so I dip in daily.
The groves are then stored in a wine fridge at 60 degrees. Couldn’t think of anything else I could get to 60? So I tried the one in the house that my wife wasn’t using really anymore and that’s all she wrote. Took it straight to the garage and covered it with stickers A friend uses a 200$ one off Amazon and digs it.

Forgot to mention that shortly after posting about the 16/8 light schedule, I decided to just stick with the 18/6. I remembered that my ec is higher than those days so I have to keep the DLI up a little as well. Oh and I’m also having second thoughts about topping too

Hanging buds took a couple extra days, finally bagged and got a full count between both plants of 749g/ 26.75oz.
That doesn’t include what’s on the rolling plate + what I smoked since the first bud was tested all 4 produced about 44oz / 2.75lb.

Tomorrow I’ll add 2ml/g more of the a&b (calmag is 4 sprout to harvest) The ec will rise a tad to 2.0 but light stays the same for now.

Don’t top, you can achieve the same thing tying down without traumatizing the plant!

Well the reason for the topping would be to traumatize the plant just experimenting with diff ways to shrink the plants without messing with my recipe or lighting. I’m thinking if I top they won’t be so wide. Height is not a problem, just the width.

I could always hand feed once a day for smaller plants but I’m too spoiled and lazy now. This is how they looked hand fed and topped, the cut lines in the concrete are 4x4 by the way
