I’m still on the fence with uvb. Even the scientists opinions are polarized.

LED doesn’t produce strong enough uvb yet. I was looking at solacure gear, but I thought that with a 3×3 tent and 4 or less plants, a uv-a/b 12" reptile tube would suffice.

Nah, you really don’t want the reptile bulbs, there is very little UVB in them, it’s mainly still UVA. And they don’t put off enough UVB to trigger the UVR8 response from the plants anyways, might help them color better sometimes that’s about it. LED has UVB that is strong enough they last about 1000 hours or so if you’re lucky. And they are stupid expensive. If you wanted an effective UVB LED for horticulture, or at least cannabis anyway, it’d cost about the same as your main fixture probably more because of the amount of them you would need. I don’t think UVB tech will ever really get there in LED’s it’s a diode physics thing.

Was curious if anyone else got an email from fast buds saying a few strains were like 24 bucks for a ten pack..Gelato which if you’ve ever grown their Gelato and its done well..its pretty darn good smoke..so yup got that..but ha e not seen those deals before..was wondering if anyone else got those emails or anything?

I blocked them and a few others for aggressive and exaggerated marketing… that’s not a comment on their genetics, it is a protest on their marketing practices.

In other words:

FB. Seriously. Your customers aren’t stupid. Treat them with the respect that they deserve.

I’m licenced by my province to teach customer service and hospitality courses. Trust me on this.

  1. Customers vote with their feet and cross the street

  2. One complaint = many who didn’t say anything. Complaints are gifts. Listen and adjust!

I don’t even look at your marketing or seeds anymore. I can tell you that I’m not alone. Put your ear to the ground.

If you pack up your soil you reduce the ability for the roots to grow through the medium. I fill my grow bags, pre water them and them fluff up the soil before planting the seed.
