A lot of it has to do with leaf/bud temp. A lot of it has to do with there normally isn’t as much red in the leds and more blue than hps. The closest comparison spectrum wise to led is CMH. I don’t think there’s many people that would argue HPS gives a better end product than CMH does, CMH just cost more to run because you need more of them and they aren’t as effecient as hps.

I would never ever ever plug a light into a surge protector. I have voided people warranty’s for that before. Plug it straight into the wall, or a timer, or something like titan controls or auto pilot. The drivers are already isolated and have built in surge protection unless your light is some Amazon special with a non isolated driver or super low watts.

@Derek420Colorado bro you seen these? Might have to get a single site and give soil a run. Don’t have to screw with watering and can run 15g of soil…let’s gooo. I bet someone could yank 1.5-2lb regularly with not much more than just watering, maybe a couple top feeds. (I’ve seen monsters in the smaller ones, but I bet it could be done regularly with these if the soil mix is right and loose enough for the roots to get to the bottom with the quickness)

Oh hey y’all PS square payment systems outed me. I don’t know how or where but somehow I used my CC at a small local business and they sent me an email, without me signing up for anything, to the email I use for this account here.
I may have to dissapear for a bit and reset everything in my life but I am currently freaked out a little.
I don’t link this email to shit. It’s through Proton, I use their VPN and mail, so I am not sure how it got linked at all. The place I thought had done it does not show up in my CC statement as a “Square” payment.

The lights are on a heavy duty timer now, I’ll leave it that way. If I decide to add uvb that would be 18w max, and for a few minutes at a time.
What I really want is to control humidity and exhaust automaticaly in order to keep vpd in range without having to constantly turn the humidifier on/off!

If you mess with UVB, get Solacure Florescents flower power or super B’s, I like the t12s myself, and put them on a timer 30 minutes a day mid light on cycle, work your way up to 1.5-2 hours IF the plants will let you the last 3 weeks only. Stay FAR AWAY from any and all UVB in LED form. The only UV you want in LED form is 365nm

I run 24/0 for many years and for the first time I switched up to 20/4. If you’re under led on 24/0 you need to feed heavy calmag. Sometimes I found I couldn’t keep ahead of the demand so I’m testing out 20/4 this run that I just started.

We start with RO and feed 3-5ml of calimagic pretty much the whole way + whatever is in the base, veg, and bloom powders that we use.
