All six sprouted! Bad mojo is over! I think… Sure looks like this grow is on finally! Two popped up in one pot… dunno how I managed that! Removed one with a spoon and repotted it. Should be ok, it was still tiny. The pots without tags are Blue Dragon.

One seedlings didn’t make it, but the rest are fine. Tiny seedlings though! But then, my Auto Ultimate was almost microscopic and grew to be my biggest auto ever, over 300 grams dry of bud! I only need 4…I only need 4…lol!

Well a week has made a difference! I figure 2-3 days and I’ll transplant. So tomorrow I’ll fill my pots with soil and get the bases watered. Looks like this is finally going to happen! I’ve got two plants in one pot, going to separate them tomorrow. I’m debating putting my HLG Scorpion Diablo in my tent. If so I’ll dial it down to around 450 watts.

So… I took down the DIY Diablo light and moved the Scorpion Diablo to the 4x4 tent. That was a job…lol! Worked on cleaning the growroom, honestly it was a wreck. During my troubles, I just let things go. I’ve more to do but I’ve got it under control finally. When I’m done, I’ll have a 5x5 space with nothing in it! Having space in the grow room is a novelty! I had 4 tents in there at one time! Then I got the Scorpion light and removed a 4x4 tent and put a 4x4 raised bed in it’s place! Bad idea… I had one grow in it and there was just too much moister in the air from all that soil and the tents and plants transpiring, I had a bad case of powdery mildew, which had never happened indoors before. I replaced it with a 4 pot Auto pot XL system. That was a great setup!
But I no longer am supplying anyone other than myself, my lady and my daughter. So large indoor grows are no longer needed, and with the price of electricity my light has sat unused for almost 2 years. We’ll see how it does in my tent, it will certainly give me a nice even spread of light!
My 10 gallon A.C. Infinity fabric pots are soaking in a bucket of water right now. Tomorrow I’ll fill the bases.

Look what I found in my soil bin! They’ve been in there 16 days! And had been in pots for almost 1o days! So… they are either Mazar x White Rhino or Holland’s Dope. They seem to be eager to survive so we’ll see what happens!

have you taken the run off ph of your germination soil ??.. as 6 out of 18 beans tells me its well acidic, probly ph 5.8… beans means heinz germ ph, of 6.8… use one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in one ltr of ph 6.5 half strength nute… ph of that should be around 7.5 to 8.5… to check run off, if 7.5 goes in… and 6.3 comes out you know you had exsesive acidic soil for the germination… hence the fail… ensure ph run off of germ soil is 6.8 BEFORE YOU PUT BEANS IN… then cover the top of a 3ltr pot with clingfilm leavinf a 6cm gap under the film for the hatchling to get up to 50mm before removing the clingfilm to harden off the sproutling… a 3ltr germination pot hold more moisture, is more temp stable than a waxed coffee cup… and will keep a good thermal diurnal rythem beans need to hatch… 1ml of biorizotonic in a ltr of wetting water at ph 6.8… if your pre planting run off is 6.5… best medium for hatch and grow ??? growmore pro white irish peat… its ph 6.5 stable for 120 day plus of a grow, even though 185ltr of acidic nute poured in over 100 days… of the grow… nutes are acidic and build up and drop the ph of the soil at tne dof the grow… raise it back up to 6.8 with bicarbonate of soda as directed… AB
keep ph in the soil 6.8 region and at 23c at lights out…

those seedling are ligh deficient and are stretching to get the light, the light green is acidic soil affects on the seedling… should be mid green… you need 35,000 lux to grow canna seedlings… get the led down to 60cm from the plants… to put the lux power up… i use 600w led at 50cm as no heat much above 27c that close… stops the stretching for light… prop them up with barbeque skuas… mazar is a afgan land race discovered by Henk Van Dalen… the man who discovered feminization in cannabis… (Mr. Canna)… it used to hold the world record harvest weight for one plant… 24oz… but that was broken by the auto extreme , by grower teetee… 29 ounces from a DP monster auto extreme, gene line. Thanks for the reply! I’m pretty sure it was my water, checked PH and it was 7.9! I will check my soil also, just to be sure. It just took my by surprise as I have never had this happen before, not ever. And as I posted, at least two of the seeds did sprout in the soil bin. Others may have but were buried.
Also, what we call potting soil, is not soil at all, and should be treated the same as coco and peat, the scale for hydro is a more accurate gauge to use with potting mix.
I’ll have to go back to PH’ing my water.We were switched to a different well recently and I didn’t think to check the PH and ppm.

Just hauled in enough soil to fill two pots with roughly 8 gallons of soil. I covered both pots with trash bags to keep evaporation down. I’ll fill the other two tomorrow and maybe transplant also.
I filled the bottom half with soil I mixed and let compost in my deckbox for about 9 months. It’s a good strong mix and should carry them to the finish. I put a somewhat lighter mix that’s only a cople months old on top and added some extra EWC and a little Garden Tone, then watered it in.
I’m excited! Been a whiles since I’ve grown in big pots!
And as soon as the 32x32 tent is cleared, I’ve got 1 gallon fabric pots and 40 Norhtern Lights autos from Linda Seeds waiting. I’m figuring 25 pots will fit in that tent. Hoping for a nice SOG!
One thing I don’t like about the bases is the fill opening is slotted. It makes pouring slow and messy. It also lets light into the reservoir. I’m going to make covers for them. Other than that I think they’ll work just fine. As I’m running plain water, I’m not intending to open the bases for cleaning until the grow is over.

Awesome stuff if you feel like it you can run coco a peat like living coco Recycling an reamend an it’s good to go .It will get better with time an eventually have it’s own worm farm especially if castings are added.

Wiggle Worm sells castings with eggs in it and I bought a bag. I’ve added some to the 10 gallon pots. Any leaves I pluck stay in the pots as mulch. I will be covering the soil with wood/bark chips to reduce evaporation, I learned my lesson when I ran the indoor raised bed…lol!. What I do is not quite living soil per se, I don’t do a cover crop. I call it active soil. I use a lot of compost and amendments. I’ve experimented for years to see how much I can use without over doing it. Wish I still had the pic. I grew a SSSC photo period in a 3 gallon pot for 90 days and it only got water the whole grow! And ohh was she beautiful!
When these plants are done, I’ll cut out the stump and plant in the hole next grow!
Yep, I always reuse, re-amend my soil. Some rootballs from smaller pots go to my raised bed veggie gardens, nothing goes to waste!

pop, was wondering, 32x32 tent being 3.2 meter x 3.2 meter ?? or 32 inches 1m x 1m…? the wick system, is something i use, i use the 15ltr autopot and valve, but i lift the 15ltr pot off the 15mm deep water line, maintained by the blue autovalve… its lifted up ont a round drip tray thats 30mm deep, i make holes round the bottom edge to let the water into the 3x double wicks i put up in the inside 15ltr pot, using capillary matting cut to 30mm wide and 30cm lond to go righ up into the soil, and just below the repot silhouette in the 15ltr soil in the grow auto pot grow pot… this allows a lot of oxygen to enter the bottom of the pot and push up into the root system… which like a lot of o2 !!.. and soil sitting in water can go anerobic and produce hydrogen sulphides… that drop the soil ph… affecting nute uptake… i like the new xl sof bag wick system it just need an autovalve fitting inside… then you dont need to manual water… i can go away for 5 days with my system… 15ltr res on the 5x autopot autovalves… 100% reliable… had em 5yr… will be watching your mazar grow pops… AB

thanks for dropping by! The tent is 32"x32"x60". The light in there is a custom conversion og an HLG 300. I replaced the QB 288 boards (2) with Diablo boards and used a 240 driver.

I mixed 14 gallons of soil this morning using fresh potting mix, EWC, and Lobster compost in one batch and EWC and cow compost in the other. I mix 5 gallons of soil with a gallon of each amendment and a quart of Epsoma Garden Tone. Then I blended them together! A lot of work right? Well not so bad when you have a cement mixer! About 4 or 5 years ago, I decided it was just too hard to do by hand any more so I bought a $150 cement mixer from Harbor Freight! And it was a great investment. Also, I know my soil is well mixed after a 5 minute run.
Now the hard part is carrying indoors! Took me 2 days to bring in 32 gallons of soil! But my pots are filled and ready to go. To sore to transplant today, but they’ll be ok another day. I’ll transplant tomorrow. When they get bigger, I’ll put in the bark mulch.
