I signed up to discord a few months ago when Twenty20 was promoting their presence there. Discord did require a picture of my driver’s license to sign up, which they promised to delete after verifying my age and humanity. I only logged in there a few times, it was very clunky. I don’t know if the ID requirement was from Discord or Twenty20.
Where are you located if you dont mind telling?
I’m on the Niagara Frontier, Canadian border, Buffalo NY.
Yeah it’s a New York law not discord or twenty20. The safe kids act went into effect 2026. It requires social media platforms to verify age.
Great plant and one of my top 3 Mephisto beans! Consistently over a pound
you’ll probably get more with the scrog for sure, I’m a LITFA guy with no desire to put that much time in. Good luck!
She hasn’t had the best start so we’ll she how she does. Not going to scrog these girls. Mainly letting the 5x5 tent do its own thing this round. Thanks for stopping in.
Ive got a teaser of the new starts. Just the prototype run if you will. This fruity pebbles photo lost her shell and stood up 3 days ago. She was above ground 4 days ago but she was still doing that bent over in a u shape thing. Count it however you like 3-4 day old seedling.
Can I get some thoughts and opinions on the start? For anyone who has paid attention to root development, would you say this is accelerated?
Look at this little shit head! Finally decided to grow some roots and get those nutes. Kinda too late missy.
@Entombed Not sure if you’ve used blumats before but here’s a tip I picked up. When placing the carrot in soil with lots of aeration perlite, pumice, etc you can damage the ceramic tip.
If some of that perlite is wedged up against the ceramic it can also make the carrot think it’s dry soil causing a flood. The cap will open to water the dry soil and the tip will never tell it to close.
I have a few pieces of 1/2" PVC laying around so that’s what I used but get you something the size of the carrot and pre “drill” your hole making sure it’s to the right depth. Take some of your soil and sift out the aeration material then mix it into a muddy paste. Fill the hole before installing the carrot. This will give you solid soil contact and an accurate reading through the ceramic tip.
Oh man, that is a pro tip. Thanks dude!
Grabbed a few more shots of the cookies. I’ll probably post more right before chop but just in case.
That’s awesome root growth, that’s what my germs look like at 3-5 days after they break ground. Some a little more, some a little less, but I prefer to get them in their final homes before that. Mainly to avoid damaging any fine roots and stunting the plant. I grow in 3 different locations across San Diego so logistics can be tricky sometimes, but I prefer to get hem in the dirt as soon as they break ground or a day after latest.
Perfect example of the info we should be sharing with each other. Anyone using them for the first time might be scratching their heads until they give up because of something like that. @GasPlease you are the man!!!
Im not reinventing the wheel but Im working on something where the benefits out weigh the negatives. I think I can get that same progress down to the 2-3 day from sprout mark. I’ll share the secret sauce once I dial it in. Also havent tried with autos yet should have better results with them.
This is the type of info I want to be sharing with everyone I can reach. Beyond just the nice people here at AFN. Its the reason Im trying to build a community hub where I can help a bigger audience. Posting this type of tip across half a dozen forums just for it to get washed away in the feed doesnt make sense.
I can’t lie that’s how I felt scouring through the old 420autoflower form on the old site.
It was a WELL of information and invaluable with all that it contained but there was no concise way to access all of it without going through it page my page, and reading through a bunch of useless stuff as well.
We gotta write a book!
i got tons of info and little tips like these for the avg grower. not even counting the 420autoflower info.
