Making a couple upgrades to the gas chamber today. I’ll start with this AC Infinity 16" bowl trimmer. Im very skeptical about trimming gadgets in general but also cant get myself to keep up with hand trimming. I was recommended the trimbag by @DOA but my guy at the grow store pointed out you need a good amount of bud to make the trimbag work halfway decent. Since I have different strains, yields, and timing of harvests I went with the bowl.
After the first run I say its way better than the hand trimming process but obviously by hand will always be more precise. If you zoom in on the trim you can see you lose some chunks of good bud. Results are very acceptable tho and what you “lose” is still there easy to collect. It took no more than 10 minutes to unbox, setup, and trim a few oz. If you grow enough that you dont need to worry about yield then I think these are worth it. If you only grow a few plants and are a light smoker then it might not be the best option.

The other upgrade for the gas chamber is a worm bin.
Worms from the local grow store. I have to wait until Tues. but Im going to get another bucket.
Added some amendments to the bedding.
Mixed in some barley straw and rice hulls.
Drilled some drainage and oxygen holes. Used a couple pieces of pvc as spacers. Not pictured is a 1/2" hole right in the center for the actual drainage. When under load that should be the lowest point on the bottom.
Added some straw at the bottom acting as a screen.
Finished 1st tote and I’ll be adding another tote once its needed. Leaves are there for shade while I left the light on pushing the worms into the bedding.

End of day 21 above ground for the fruity pebbles. I let them big ass leaves go as long as I could but something had to be done.

Some strains just stretch like crazy bro, Mephistoreoz and Blueberry Blizzy I have seen have phenos that are just TALL! Depending what filial generation it is from it could be pulling genetics from way back in the lineage. I think it looks healthy, allbeit tall and stretchy, but I’ve come across it enough times to know it could just be genetics. You could always try lowering the light to limit stretch. You could also add some blue heavy lights to the same effect. Hopefully it’s gonna yield an be something special!

I dont think it will be anything special but I’ll get some nugs out of her. She got fried as a sprout in the rw cube when transferred into the soil. Then she didnt grow for 4-5 weeks. In that group shot where she is tiny… she had pistils in that pic! lol! I dont know what the hell she doing. Looks like another 4-6" for the top and her side branches are now taller than the gwk.

Shes had good intensity. Currently the top is about 8" from the light and 750ppfd 48dli. I dont know but its fun to watch.

It’s gotta be fun to have so many different strains growing off of the same nutrients in the same tent right now to see how they all respond differently
Makes me kind of wanna do that in half of the 4 x 8 after this run
I know at least half of my tent is going to be dedicated the lemon Kix
But I could do a bunch of other stuff in the other part of the 4 x 4 if I wanted to

Autos do some weird things sometimes. I personally love it. I especially like growing multiples of the same strain and seeing all the differences between phenos!

I love running different strains but it can be a total pain in the @$$ at times. I’ve dropped back to one strain in the tent this run. Especially new strains I have not run before.

Im surprised at how well the soil recipe is doing. Theyve all got the same top dress recipe as well. I need to look into a possible cal mag issue and take a little P out of it. Overall Im happy with it tho. Still a few more tweaks.
I say go for it bro. Have fun with it! Try something new. Do something youve done but push the limits a little bit.

Yeah I look forward to some micro pheno hunts. Doing some reversals and making some seeds from the best 2 in the tent. Going to be fun!

I can see it being an issue. I got lucky with the gwk flowering first and being able to take the extra light intensity. That allowed me to get the small ones decent light.
Also looking forward to running a full 5x5 of the same strain.
