TheDude's Perpetual Flower Room

I dig the new setup. My room is out in the garage. I do everything manually. Lol Constantly juggling everything you mentioned. I like to make life hard as possible. Lol Surely the controller is bad?

I also recommend the Vivosun “A22” smart plug

Two outlets, two USB ports, and an independent temperature/humidity probe.

I use a ton of the Vivosun equipment to track my environment, but those are great for non-smart appliances!

It’s not growing bro

I love the blue Dog. I had purchased seeds to make a photo version but none of the Chem Dawg germinated, it happens. I do have a Blue Cheese photo now however so im on the search for a Chem Dawg photo to make it happen.

My favorite indoor grow recently has been the Super Silver Haze is crossed to the Blue Cheese. It was chronic and super frosty n tasty. Outdoor last year i had a massive The Rev that was epic.

Is there no way to multi-reply anymore?

@Jean-O Man, if you find a Chem Dawg photo let me know, I’ve been on the hunt for that as well. Had it 15 years ago in California and still think about it; I’d love to add it to my collection, and it makes some epic crosses.

@RickDirt @Mara_Cachafa The controller is bad now; I put both sensors in the room, went into the app and switched it to the arrangement it’s always choosing on its own, and it bricked. Got something else to replace it on the way that’s supposed to arrive tonight.

@Simply_nuggets Your grow looks awesome, I need to dig into your setup more when I have time. I’m a big “holistic systems” guy, so I will always be drawn to living soil, but the results of other techniques speak for themselves.

Jokers Candy

And Kush Mints

Midtown Haze moved into the flower room yesterday, so we are now full up until early/mid July when Jokers Candy should get chopped. I’ve taken some clones off my outdoor strawberry cough, so those will head into the flower room to take Jokers Candy’s spot in July.

Family pic (back left Joker’s Candy, back right Kush Mints, front right (small plant) Cherry Gogi, front middle Midtown Haze, front left Blue Dream and GMO (small plants)).

Kush Mints - 19 days into flower

Joker’s Candy closeup - 34 days into flower

Midtown Haze - Day 1 of flower (GMO & Blue Dream top left, Cherry Gogi bottom, all 10 days into flower)

That makes a total of 6 plants in the flower room; 3 girls with lots of veg, GMO with a few weeks of veg, and Cherry Gogi and Blue Dream flowered with no real veg.

I like variety, and I go through about 2 grams per week maximum, so while my original plan was to only flower 4 and give them each decent veg (adding them to the flower room one at a time every 3 weeks or so after giving them 4-5 weeks of veg), I decided to slam a few of the clones right into flower and see what they do.
Given their starting size, I figured it wouldn’t be too far from some of the autos that I’ve grown.

GMO and Cherry Gogi are stretching well; Blue Dream is staying shorter. But I’m happy with all of them.

The whole family

Jokers Candy day 53

Kush Mints day 34

Gmo, Blue Dream, Cherry Gogi, day 25

Midtown Haze day 16

All “day” estimates are probably off by a few days
Once Jokers Candy gets chopped later this week, I’ll spread out midtown haze and toss one or two smaller plants in as well.
My goal was originally to harvest every few weeks, but I may decide to slow my cadence.
Soon I plan to begin hunting for a Black Willie pheno (Black Vietnamese x Willie Nelson). Only have 5 seeds, so I may just let any males sleep with any females to get a nice pile of seeds. My last Black Willie got crossed with a Thai, which heavily dominates any crosses

I just wish that room didn’t only run at night so I could stand in there all day and stare at them. Then again, I probably wouldn’t get anything done

Chasing an awesome high or cool looks? I’m down with both.

Yeah, so I grew Black Willie a few years ago and the terps were unique, very ginger & green tea. The buzz was also just right, light, very happy and uplifting, and not a lot of down after.

About 15 years ago, while living in LA, I got a few grams of a strain just called “Green Thai.” It had such a unique high; out on a walk I would feel like I could “feel” everything within a whole block. The sensation of “feeling” my surroundings isn’t special, I’ve meditated and done sports and martial arts since I was little, so that spatial-awareness-sensing is already normal; but the Green Thai strain switched it into super overdrive. When I went back, they were sold out, and I’ve never found anything like it again.
The other day I was thinking about that Thai, and realized that the Black Willie was probably the closest I’ve had since then, so perhaps I’ll grow out some more of them and see what comes of it.

Sounds like a great high! I’d like to try that Black Willie, not many Sativa’s I can tolerate.
