NIGHTQUEEN's Dutch Passion Grow Adventures

I had a similar experience with a different brand Green Hut. I asked for discreet shipping. And the name of the company and big stickers saying what is inside were emblazoned for everyone to see.

Heatwave outdoors is aweful. This morning 80% humidity, now still 63% - and 28 degree heat. It’s 6 am… Floor of the room sweating wet. Tent isn’t that much better, extra ventilation and open doors needed. The air filtration useless… Anyways, to battle that humidity will be the tricky part next days.

Pheno 4 in the tent isn’t bushy nor leafy at all, not much that could touch each other. The other beauty left to her - an absolutely small & bushy fun plant, and such a brutal smell. Here’s a peak into this tiny side project.

Temps and humidity drives me mad. Today was a bit better, not dripping wet anymore, still 27 degree, 55-60% humidity. The big one lost a ton of leaves as PM-prevention emergency - and she can breath again, no more pools of water on the leaves. There’s still some readjustment to do here and there. She’s done with stretching for the most, buds are more than enough on the branches.overall less distance between nodes (different envirionment though than during first run). Noticed a first hint on stickyness after defoliation and checked every single leaf from above, below, from sides, … anyway image shot along the way while working on this plant.

Next update I will check the tent - stay tuned.

As promissed, the tent update.

The big one in the middle is the clone of SMC pheno 4. She’s a bit behind her big sister, but it’s different room and different pheno. Here’s another one:

Here are the other 2 experiments as a tentfiller, just in case someone likes another view on these oldschool dwarf-sized ladies, too.

If you wonder about the pots within buckets, it’s the “anything but proffessional yet proven to do the job not-so-auto-pot”-system, for only 0,99€. In other words, I add smaller amounts by hand manually into the grey buckets multiple times , starting usually 1-2h after lights on.

In the next update we finally realize , it’s frosty during summer - stay tuned if you want to know if just my medicine isn’t working anymore or the plant has a layer of frozen sticky goodness from past days stress.

Outdoor harvest time… 3kg +… 3 big bags full of blueberries. These are real berries though. Anyway, those berries straight went into the freezer for later foodprocessing. But you came for frosty plants in hot summer… here’s a first early sticky layer on the big lady.

That lovely frost!

Looking nice in there mate, well done! So there is one pheno 4 in the middle, what are the other 2, sisters from a different pheno?

Big lady near bone dry this morning. She’s becoming more expensive to feed every day. Greedy bitch…
Tentwork been minimal today, feed routine, the SMC lost 6 lightblocking leaves, that’s it. Well, also told the plants how beautiful they are today again … some ladies need to hear that more often. Maybe by tommorow smc4 is wearing her sexy frost coat too… lol.

Does that work? I been thinking about doing this. When I go to sleep I wake up and my plants and Coco is dry. After only 6 hours. I was thinking about placing a small pan or something and fill it with nutrients. And then let the pot sit inside like your doing. I think I will try it tonight.

Well, i don’t like them to sit in water ,just let them soak a final time, that it’s barelyfine for the night + a wake up hour. It’s fine when there’s a tiny rest. With a larger pool of water overnight i personally would also run into a higher humidity issues easily (+ the other known potential problems). Small pan but still extra water that not just get taken by the plants but also evaporate. So in essence, i just have to find the sweetspot needed to get the plant through the night , while having her dryed back still enough in the morning to start with watering cycle again. For me the killing factors are even the nights still sitting at 25 celsius right now.

Anyway, how did your try played out? Hopefully a success.

DAY 29 OF FLOWER - 4weeks done - nearly halftime. Big lady pheno3 just had her 181th day of life. Lets hope for the best…

Fearing the 2 upcoming days. Forecast says up to 40c. Outch… the tent yesterday had 30c at 60%. Plants had a blast though. The big one just added another coat of frost - that lady gets supersticky. Lovely terps also. Don’t laugh, that pheno3 plant smells like wife’s Dove soap x100, +some gas/fuel. Way more than i would want to, because if you can smell it it’s no longer on the plant. That’s the downside in a summergrow. I’m already wondering how the plants will take the drop back to 20c from 40c within 24h on sunday… probably the big one adds some frost, as usual while the tent ones won’t even notice it that drastically, still temps are high, stresslevel also, double check for herming signs incoming…

Note on pheno 4: she’s growing in a really beautiful pattern. Node distance and leaf/flower ratio is just perfect to work on her. Compared to the seed pheno4 plant (the mother/donor)she’s less leafy and training/maintainance on her just makes her even fun. Not much to take away, light even reaches the lower buds, which i normally would have removed. No 1 hour defoil session every other day like on her mother.

Anyways, anyone ever made a diy co2 generator? I think about placing yeast/sugarsyrup in a bottle with a thin tube going above the canopy ( so co2 falls down, where it’s needed). Anyone tried that method before?

I am looking for a similar fix for the same thing. I go to sleep and wake up and my coco is dry already. When I feed during the day I feed every 4 hours. But for some reason 6 hours of sleep and they damn near bone dry. Once I get set up with the autopots I shouldn’t have to worry about that anymore. So I may try setting them in a small saucer just to see if does anything. Idk if your even supposed to top feed all day and then butt chug during lights off? I will Google it.

I got a really thirsty girl here. Butterz Song freebie from Mephisto.

I need these to finish so I can start my first journal in almost 2 years. Antonio was kind enough to send me some of his best work. Super excited .:bighug: :emoticon_high_five_1_: :devils-horn-smiley-emoticon:

They are on 72 from sprout.

I’m growing in coco in 3 gallon pots, top watering once a day. Last summer when it got over 90°F in there I was watering twice a day. Temperature makes a big difference in water usage. When it’s hotter, the plants transpire more water to keep cool, sucking the water out of the pot. Smaller pots dry out quicker. It looks like you have windburn on the top half of the plant from the fan blowing directly on it (curling, browning leaves).

Yeah definitely wind burn. She is almost done though. I had a few days when the humidity got to 65%. I would rather have wind burn than mold or PM. I went with small USB fans instead of oscillating fan. So I am still trying to find the sweet spot.

But those are purple not brown. My camera sucks. And I am not the best at taking pictures.

My two cents on the occasional bottom feed is you are occasionally pushing salts upward. When top feeding coco we go til runoff to help push out old salts and crap the plant didn’t want. When bottom feeding consistently in an autopot or tray the salts get pushed up to the top few inches of dirt. Combining the methods feels counterproductive and possibly harmful. I’d keep an eye out for nutrient lock juuuust in case. Plants look great by the way!
