Everyday we get a little closer to having seedlings. The to-do list:
Buy a bag of soil to fill in the top of the pots.
Grab 3 more valves so I can shut each row off.
Get my barley straw around the rings and hook up the rings.
Set the carrots for a drier soil and get tap roots into soil.

Glueberry OG got “fully” processed today. She was larfy with lots of sugars so trim wasn’t nice and neat but I got the big easy to get stuff. Kept the tops to cure. Trimmed the larf off of stems and ready to go in bags for pressing. Kept all the sugars from the tops to get pressed with the larf.
Tops then larf.

The only seed to not open was the white widow. Im not giving up on it but thats the one that would bother me the least if it doesnt make it. Id just leave the pot by the humidifier open. Pics when they sprout.

The gorilla cookies got a spa day today. Did some thinning and light canopy work.
With the roots in the res I decided doing full changes isnt a bad idea. Had a bit of a clog. I drained the res down until the pump couldnt suck any more which leaves 1-2 quarts maybe. Then I dumped 2-3gal of ro water in and drained it again. I repeated this until the water coming out of the res was clear. Filled the res one last time with some ro water and I used that to flush the cubes, clean the roots, and clean the lid up some. Used the 1/2" drain hose to pump it up to the cubes and flushed them for 10-15 minutes. One last drain and added a fresh batch of nutes at 2.0 ec. I moved the air stone to the middle of the res behind the pump to maybe better distribute oxygen to the roots.

Thank you. Appreciate it. I love being in the grow room doing stuff but sometimes it feels like all I do is work and grow weed.

Everything sprouted. The strawberry pie had helmet head. I got the shell off last night and let her figure out the seed coat. Well this morning she still hadn’t done it so I had to help her. The gold glue broke her tap root when she was curling herself out of the rockwool. The break was low enough she still had some tap left. I tried to position her to have a chance to still make it. So I might lose the strawberry pie and the gold glue.

Slowly but surely my life also started to revolve around cannabis. Breeding is my dream, making something everybody can enjoy. Been studying hard for the last couple years and I’m finally ready to start. The plan is to start after the first of the month, I’m gonna start making copies and crosses of my favorite genetics, autoflowers only for now. I have some pretty special photoperiod beans I might not get around to using. Ill go thru my library and see what I have, but if there’s anything you want I can send it your way. I’ll send you a list when I go thru them.

The big one! She has clearly switched focus to bud production so it’s time for the last schwazz. I targeted any leaf with a visible stem. Of course with her having so many leaves I missed some but the idea is all fans. I also thinned the branches and removed the slackers that wouldn’t produce.
This trauma puts the plant into emergency/survival mode. She is going to release a bunch of energy and hormones trying to regrow everything so she can survive. Guess where all that energy and hormones goes if she has already switched to bud production.

Shes not dead yet. I think she even opened her leaves some. Not growing vertical tho.

She might surprise you! Last grow I had an upside down sprout that produced good smoke, just a few weeks smaller in size but still worth giving her a shot.

Do you have too much money or too much space? Soooooooooooo many seeds. Nice thread though, good read!

Moved the little ones into soil. 5 of them had roots out the bottom. There are 3 potential loses in the next few days.
Gold glue doesn’t have any roots. Lol.
The toofless alien has a problem with the first tiny set of trues. Can’t really see what’s going on but they aren’t developing correctly. Almost looks like half of them are missing and it’s just the base.
The strawberry pie had the helmet head and just looks weak plus I dropped her on her face moving to soil.

An adiction to growing that is growing and a little disposable income.
Also I see all the money spent on growing as an investment. I was spending at least $150/week at the dispensary so growing saves me $600/month easy. Everything I buy will pay for itself and some.

I was just shocked about the amount of seeds. Endless list. With my 3 plant/person limit, that would be enough for the rest of my potential lifetime. But you are right, good investment pays out in the long run, the one or other way, even if that payout is just not to have to visit a suspicious, already on the radar guy to only get offered overpriced moldy weed … having own controll over quality is priceless. No idea how good your dispensary are, but even that, no thanks.

And your homegrown will be better than most dispensary weed and the strains that work for you won’t be sold out.
From seed to concentrate Best. Hobby. Ever.
