The Gas Chamber! Home of Killer Buds!

More trichomes. Maybe it’s a timing coincidence or I’m imagining it but since switching to the new nutes there has been a noticeable increase in coverage. Shes still 90% white pistils and hasn’t really started swelling.

You have a bright future growing! Killing it! Keep up the good work! Was it you who was thinking of switching to soil? I will just say, if you do end up switching don’t expect quite the same yields. You can get close in auto pots, and also also in coco coir, but the flavor, terps and potency you are looking for is there when you do it right! And you can always use numbers to your advantage to fill a space. The great thing about autos. However in soil, I havervest right around 60 days so the turn around is much faster, even in 5gal pots. So it all evens out in the end.

Thank you bud! I’m not switching but I am growing in soil too. My first grows were organic soil autos so I kinda know what to expect from both soil and autos. Got the 5x5 with a bunch of auto strains going as we speak. I got a bad start on this run so it won’t be this one but I’ve got plans to push my soil grows to hydro level development. Of course it won’t compare side by side but I think I can get close.

Ive seen autos in soil, in auto pots and automated soil grows that are straight monsters! It’s totally possible, all depends on how much work you wanna put into it!

Anyone seen @Mongoose from the xenforo days? Miss seeing his grows.

Not yet, I wish there was a way to reach out to members from the old site that haven’t switched yet! Maybe there is a way. Maybe they’re here already with a new name ?? Wish I had some info for you

It’s always good explore other ways of growing Canna and most importantly, mastering that method.

I’ll stick to the organic side. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: It’s MUCH easier! I’ve got Earthboxes nailed. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:  But there’s always refinement.

I think you got this method pretty much nailed! That includes the environment, but you can automate that.

Very healthy girl!

I think if you stay ahead of things, one could get similar results in living soil SIPs, or large volume pots…..IF, you do everything else the same…ie: training, defoliation, etc.

Strain selection would be very important, obviously. :smokeout:

I started in hydro, did that for a long time, I just don’t have the time to be checking the res more than once a day. And since I have switched to organics in soil, not only is it way way way less work( I can feed em and not even look at em for a couple days before checking on em), but the quality is so much better, the terps are insane, I havent had to cure anything to get rid of that hay taste/smell, and it fast as hell, been consistently harvest at ±60 days. I really want to look into auto pots more, I would love the best of both worlds, the vigour plants get in hydro, but the quality of organics! Those earth boxes look cool too!

I agree. I plan on trying them all. I don’t like putting myself in a box.

Thank you! Much appreciated.

As you said you’d have to be on top of shit but I think a person could get very good results. That’s the plan and why I picked up the blumats for this soil run.

I don’t know about the no cure and 60 days part. Thats more strain selection than grow method?

Understanding that the top dress you apply today doesn’t begin to become available for about 15 days…will certainly help. You can’t really react to things in this method….rather you’ve got to anticipate. And a large volume of soil will be needed…

Gorilla cookies was one of those 60day strains! In hydro, especially rockwool, autos go forever! 120+ days. In soil autos are much much faster. Haven’t had a single strain go longer than 70days and I grow multiple new strains every grow. I have a bunch of journals on the old site. Also the grow I’m on now should be finishing up around 60days. I’ve talked about this with 420maestro before. I think it was him who told me about rockwool/hydro extending each stage significantly, that’s why his method doesnt work in soil. The plants just grow too fast.

I know a lot about organic soil growing and anticipating the plants needs. Not everything always trying to learn and improve. All my soil autos have finished without defi and 4-5 oz harvest. Nothing crazy but decent for hand watering.

You can get the top dress availability down to a week.

My soil autos harvest around 75-80 days. Pretty sure it’s the 420scrog method that stretches the lifecycle not the rockwool hydro.

Not a great example and my first time playing with it. I messed up the lighting so she didn’t finish well but 420scrog is possible in soil.
